• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Pay it forward I'm a GOS member. I have a 2011 RTS. After putting Elkas on my bike I kept the stock shocks that only had 1,000 miles on them. i offered mine for free to another GOS member if they would pay shipping.

    I did this once. Thankfully there was a young engineer with the group. He ha a small circumference screwdriver. He gently inserted it in the top middle of the frunk lid lip, jiggled it and the frunk opened....minutes before a huge rainstorm. My group will never let me forget this. LOL

    Back rest or new seat?

    I put a Utopia back rest on my stock seat because my group rode distance and back roads. It helped but my back still hurt. I had a Russell Day Long seat with backrest custom made...seat eventually broke in so my butt felt much better....my back still hurts but I have a wrecked back anyhow.....sigh

    My carry weapon is a Sig P238. I use an left ankle holster. The glove box IMO is too hot. I have a CHL so I can keep it on my person. In the winter I keep it in my jacket pocket. Toughest time is the Texas summer. Can't carry my Springfield 9mm in the summer because it is very obvious.

    I ride with a large group and sometimes we don't have enough CB's. I don't want a permanent set up but have heard of using a portable CB that can be attached around the handlebar/dash area.     Does anyone have the 5 year (after the original 2 year) extended warranty with the above company? There is no deductible, it has towing and rental reimbursement, no mileage limitation and is supposed to be better than the BRP Original. I was told that it is also better than the "Best" warranty...

    I'm taking the Concealed Carry Weapons Class this weekend!!

    I too have my CHL. I took the coarse with my SA so I can carry SA or revolver...no idea why it matters. It has become a part of me. Everyone remember to continue practicing after you get the license. I feel safer and very glad I have this.
