• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does Anyone "Snowbird" with their Spyder?

South Georgia, 78 degrees today. Rode down from MICHIGAN in October, stored Blaze in Georgia, came back last week until mid March. Several multiday trips planned, north GA, NC, SC, AL. Less money, fewer people, better rides than FL.

Cat Bypass pipes for the 998 engine availability

I assume it is all stainless, or what is the finish? I am interested, any idea on price? Would you provide installation at a Spyder event?

Adding Drivers backrest for 2013 STS?

Spencer, Check with Utopia, I purchased 2013 ST backrest from them about 4 years ago. Hopefully they still sell this item. Installation is kind of involved, seat comes off, cover comes off seat, large bracket installed, cut hole in roam and cover, reassemble. The instruction sheet is pretty...

    Wiring for heated jacket.

I believe the fuse is there to protect the wire from overheating. In home wiring, 14 gauge wire should have no greater than a 15 amp fuse, 12 gauge wire is 20 amp. I think 12 volt systems are the same.

    Air box 2014 st

I cut it into pieces to get it out, installed JT air filter. Lotsa room there without the air management bloat.

    2013 STS Magnesium Panels

So I finally bit the bullet and upgraded the side panels on my 2013 STS. This the kit that includes 4 new panels (2 right 2 left), with the air scoop design to increase flow and decrease heat. The install was pretty simple, and I do believe the heat will dissipate faster, reducing the heat on...

    Touring windscreen for st

Have the CalSci extra wide and tall. Holes were drilled correctly, install was quite easy. Makes a big difference, no head buffeting. Hands still exposed, using heated gloves.

Group Rides - Tail Gunner ???

Been on many group rides over the past 3 years, all fun, some more than others. No news here, more riders means slower progress, delays and greater possibilities of group segmentation and/or cage infiltration. There are many techniques to address the issues of large group rides, most require...

Review: All thumbs up for River Raisin Powersports

Went for service today at Raisin River, Monroe, Michigan; always good outcomes. Curtis and team are honest, fair, and most important, the work is quality. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs: New laser alignment, Blaze handles better than ever, hats off to Jason. Seems like misalignment can...

Changing out radiator Hoses on 2014 RTL

Had exactly the same problem with STS, even though they are different engines. Problem was solved by removing the spring clamp and replacing with screw clamp. The issue is probably getting access to the correct clamp. Access is much easier on STS. By the time everything is opened up, it is...

    Biker Beads

I use them in the summer, they work for me, cool and dry. I will ride with them on for a few hours, and then take them off for an hour, repeat all day The variation is good, pressure points are different and get a break as well. The beads are ceramic, and quite smooth and slippery. I gave...

Has Anybody tried one of these?

Have had one for Bout 10 years Quality construction, holds charge well. Used it for bike tires, now spyder tires. It is slow however, it will top off tires, but don't think it could fill back tire from flat on a charge, never tried Also it needs 110 volts for charging.

    kuryakyn hitch rack

More Rack Info I needed more storage on "Blaze" 2013 ST. I added the Showchrome Hitch and Showchrome rack. Completely unacceptable strength and durability and size. Called Showchrome, they would not offer any specific weight limitations, which I found puzzling. The rack is very sturdy, but...

    2013 ST Cannister Available

Took off the emmissions cannister. No gas contamination whatsoever, as I relocated the cannister to be above the level of the gas tank in 2014. I removed the cannister because the purge valve failed and i did not feel like spending money to replace. If someone has a fouled cannister, this...

Smartphone battery usage when riding Spyder?

USB power for Android My Android phone will not run GPS guidance from a standard USB source, the battery becomes discharged. The phone came with its own "turbocharger" which is a high power charger and does provide enough power. The phone knows the difference between regular and...

    Purge Valve Function

Cannister is gone, so are the fault codes Thanx SL people for all assistance. Cannister had no fuel or fuel fumes when removed. Purge valve was open when I looked at it on the bench. Might be a possibility of fumes from a hot soak, time will tell. Thx again :2thumbs::2thumbs:

    Purge Valve Function

Thank you for the information. I was considering removing the cannister completely and plugging the vacuum line. Sounds like a good time to do that. If I remove the purge valve completely and plug the vacuum line to the throttle body, then, can I cap the open port on the cannister, but leave...

    Purge Valve Function

2013 STS, recently having some issues with an intermittent fault code P1175. Machine runs well, no obvious degradation. Searching knowledge from SL seems to indicate purge valve could be at fault. Interested to hear if anyone in SL community knows what conditions and when the valve is...

    Show chrome trailer hitch

Have the same Issue Daniel, I have exactly the same issue with the SC hitch. I also replaced the crappy steel set screws with stainless hex head bolts, which helps keep it from banging. I have not verified this info with ShowChrome, but here is my theory: The set screws are not key to the...
