• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time to come out of hibernation, Kansas!

It's time to come out of hibernation, Kansas Spyder ryders! I know we have some Spyders in Manhattan, Topeka, and Lawrence and Leavenworth so I am thinking we should do a "Meet and Eat" in Topeka sometime. If anybody wants to suggest a time and place to meet and eat some Saturday or Sunday...

    Tucson Bound

Love your trip report Big Arm, I love your trip report and the photos you posted. I'm glad you're getting some ryding in after spending the winter in Sioux City, Iowa. You certainly deserve some miles on the Spyder after enduring this last winter. I can live vicariously through the trip...

    Great weather, great Spyder...

Ditto on the great Kansas weather It was perfect weather for ryding all over Kansas this weekend. There were a lot of motorcycles out and we got lots of the biker waves during two great days of ryding. It is going to be painful when the cold and nasty winter weather finally gets here but we...

    military base sticker

Dept of Defense sticker I stuck my Dept of Defense access sticker on the lower left side of my Evo III windshield for the guards and the rest of the world to see. The sticker generates conversation on my rides when folks see I'm from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Veterans and others recognize it...

    Proper Talisman

Guardian/Gremlin Bell I was given a Guardian/Gremlin Bell last Christmas and mounted it on the lowest part of the Spyder the next day. We haven't had a bit of trouble with the Spyder until Labor Day Friday when the dynamic power steering caused the handlebars to fight back going into some...

    Cramp Buster- works

Used the CrampBuster on Oregon Trail trip I have the regular CrampBuster on the stock grips and really like it. We took a long trip this summer and it helps. I had debated on getting a throttle lock before the trip but went without it and just used the crampbuster. We stopped every 60 to 90...

    Fantasy trip

Rode the Oregon Trail for our fantasy trip this summer I planned my fantasy trip during the last winter months along the Oregon Trail. My wife and I actually took some leave from the Army and completed the trip in July. It was perfect. We saw some outstanding country and the Spyder was a hit at...

    Spyders meet in Omaha, Nebraska

We had a small rally of Spyder owners in Omaha, Nebraska, today at the Leisure Life Motorsports dealer's open house. Big Arm rode down from Sioux City, Iowa. 2spyders and Major Finder rode from Lincoln, Nebraska, and jimclarkf1 rode in from the nearby Omaha area. Future Spyder owners were...

Post here if you have over 5000 miles, not kilometers on your Spyder

8200+ miles I have 8200 miles and put on from 70 to 100+ every day after duty plus more on weekends. I applied for the BRP pin months ago with the photo showing mileage at the time and haven't seen or heard from them. No pin, no letter, no nothing. I'm not upset over the fact that I didn't...

    First Ride- Alumna Trailer

That's great news, Captainryder! I am interested in how the Spyder does towing a trailer. It sounds like you have plenty of horsepower to pull a trailer with two up and some stuff in the front. I have a PiggyBacker trailer we assembled Friday but I'm waiting for the Bushtec hitch to arrive so...

    I'm off to..

I had almost the exact same experience Saturday as I installed my NMN 4 inch risers except I used my son's 21 year old eyes for some of the details. My son also reinstalled the rubber piece on top because I ended up swearing at it and stuffing it inside. I rode almost 200 miles after...

Lincoln, Nebraska Spyder ryders met at Culver's

Four of us Spyder owners met Friday night at one of the local Culver's during an informal car show. We had two yellow ones, a silver one, and a red one parked together with some hot rods and classic cars. Most of us met each other for the first time Friday and were surprised that none of us had...

    Friday night in Lincoln

Culver's car night sounds like fun! I usually make it home from Ft Leavenworth late Friday afternoons and head right for the Spyder to go for a ride. My wife and I love to ride anywhere and Culver's sounds good. I can look at cars, motorcycles, and get something great to eat, too. Do they...

    HI Omaha Ne

Wow! Twenty from the Omaha dealer are a lot of Spyders in the area that I haven't seen anywhere. There are a lot of folks out there that haven't seen a Spyder before judging from the comments, stares, photos, and visits we get when we ryde. Are there any events close to Omaha or at the dealer...

Spyder excluded from MSF course for Army Soldiers

Ha, ha. I LOVE my yellow Spyder! I don't think CanAm had released the new red ones when I bought mine about this time last year. I taught Army ROTC in Lincoln, Nebraska, home of the Cornhuskers football team! "GO BIG RED!" A red Spyder would be very popular in Nebraska. I like your license...

Spyder excluded from MSF course for Army Soldiers

I would call the Combat Readiness Center (CRC) which is the Safety Office that handles the MSF course. If you are just concerned about riding the Spyder on post and getting access, you could call the Provost Marshall's Office and arrange to register to get the DOD sticker for your windshield...

    Air Horns

I want people to notice me especially when they are texting or chatting on their cell phones. I was interested in mounting this (see link) air horn on or in the Spyder but haven't done so, yet. Maybe someday. http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=19550 I hope somebody mounts this...

    Very pleased with Corbin

My wife and I like our Corbin seats, too. They were very easy to mount and they do allow quick access to the underside. I can ryde farther in more comfort since we have the Corbin seats. I can relax now that my wife has a backrest to help her stay mounted when I have to roll on the throttle...
