• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 Spyder RT-S Magnaflow muffler option

Hi PK, An excellent choice of Lamont's 2" stainless steel cat-delete bypass pipe for your 2014 Spyder RT!! You will notice an increase in torque off idle on up rpms. It is a little louder at idle & when you get on the throttle, but very quiet at speed, you probably won't notice a sound...

2014 Spyder RT-S Magnaflow muffler option

Hi PK, I think a smaller Magnaflow muffler would be too loud. Update after 750 miles 2014 RT-S on Magnaflow #12646 muffler: Very quiet deep mellow sound at riding speed. Gas mileage increased to several tanks 40 mpg, last 2 tank fill-ups 45 mpg. Torque increase has a strong surge at 5500 up rpm...

Well I finally found a solution to all my Spyder Issues

As a motorcycle guy, are you buying a 2014 FRJ 1300 Yamaha? (my favorite handling motorcycle that I could drag bottom of boots in corners, 2005 FJR put on 28,000 miles). Unfortunately my FJR Yamaha motorcycle days are over. All your heat mods solved that problem on 2013 RT; just like I did on...

    2014 versus 2013 RT-S

Screaming caps says it all. 1. You don't own a 2014 RT-S so obviously don't have a clue about them. 2. If I had to explain, you would not understand. The 2" stainless steel cat bypass for $125 is for increase in torque/power, getting rid of choked up Cat. (nothing to do with heat because that...

    2014 versus 2013 RT-S

I recommend you buy a 2014 Spyder RT-S SE6 Hi Len, I feel you would enjoy many years of trouble free ryding with a 2014 RT-S SE6 Spyder. With about 5,000 miles a year, it would last you a long time! Yes it is about $28,000 OTD for a 2014 RT-S SE6, but worth it with the awesome torque of 1330cc...

    My RT is Jacked Up!

The lower rear stock shock bolt bent on my 2011 RT. If the stock shock bolt bends into the lower shock bushing, it is really difficult to remove when bent together. Elka gave me a replacement bushing & I bought a grade 8 replacement bolt. John at Elka said a lower rear stock 2013 RT shock bolt...

    My RT is Jacked Up!

Very impressed with "Dr office garage"; rear shock bushing/bolt bends, need grade 8 Thank you for posting photos of raising up RT for repairs. The rear stock shock bushing/bolt bends & bolt gets stuck in bushing. That is one reason not to raise rear of RT using rear lower shock mount, or let...

Question for 1330 RT owners on Elka shocks

I check 2014 RT ride height under front part of frame to ground 4 1/2" on mine. No rider. Just a reference for me for difference of about 1/2" lower with 2011 Elka's vs 2014 stock shocks. My Elka stage 5 shock is 2011 and shorter than 2014 stock shock; so I am ok with ground clearance. (Just got...
