• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trunk that will fit BRP quick attach backrest

All good points lonlawrence. I am considering just making the piece that goes from the underside of the wheel well up to the bottom of the mounting plate that came with the trunk. I expect this to not be as secure as yours but it will certainly alleviate the pressure that I get on the...

Trunk that will fit BRP quick attach backrest

Hey lonlawrence... I assume "the other guy" you are referring to above is me as I was the one that originally mounted the trunk behind the seat. I can tell you after 2000 miles with the 2 "L" brackets the it really doesn't bounce around much. I think because the angle of the L brackets cause...

    "Self made" saddlebag brackets.

Yep 1/8"x1" is correct. Limber, lightweight and easy to work with. I agree... I will not leave these on permanently. We have a long ride next weekend and I needed the storage space. My wife packs WAY to much stuff.

    "Self made" saddlebag brackets.

Hey folks. I wanted to show off my "self made" saddlebag brackets. Go to my album and check them out: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=991 I couldn't figure how to get the Nelson Rigg SSC-140 Silver Streak Mini Sport Saddlebags to sit comfortably on the back side of my...

    Warranty Question

I paid $880 for a 3 year term. I had about 1750 miles on the bike when I purchased it. It does have a $25 per incident deductible.

    Warranty Question

For those of you who either bought a bike with an expired warranty or you chose not to get the BEST... Check out this option. I bought my bike AFTER the warranty has expired. My dealer offered this SERVICE CONTRACT that sounded pretty good to me and quite frankly was my only option. I have not...

What the hell did they do to my Spyder

So the question is... are you going to bring it back to them to "fix" it???? Isn't that what started this whole mess? Obviously they are not trustworthy and leaving my baby with them would certainly be hard for me to do. Lord knows what else they may F up!!! I liken it to sending back your...

    Cruise-Mate for Can-Am Spyder!?

I installed the cruise mate this weekend. It's certainly not a cruise control per say but it works great when you want to rest your right arm a bit. Make sure you have a 21/64 drill bit and a 3/8-24 tap available. The instructions don't clearly call that out so when I started the project I...

    What about the extended warranty?

This has been a question I've had for a while now. I bought an 08 from a private party (P/E #498). I called the dealer from where it was originally purchased and he stated the factory warranty was up in November 09. Based on your statement above, that would mean the original owner purchased...

Is my power steering even working????

Yes that's probably the dumbest question you've seen on this forum but honestly the only Spyder I've ever ridden is mine so I have no frame of reference. I hear all these stories about the power steering issues and it got me thinking that mine may not even be working at all. I certainly don't...

BRP: Free Cap Coupon - WORTHLESS

Same thing with me.... In fact it wasn't even my usual dealer. I happened to be in the area of another dealer so I figured I'd walk in and ask. Sure enough he said go pick one out.. Grabbed one and walked out the door.:2thumbs:

    riser block

My thoughts exactly TEX.... I guess if someone REALLY wants to take the bike and they have the time to do it, the wheel lock isn't going to slow them down that much.
