• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Natchez Trace was fun at the beginning and shall we say slow and languorous by the end. Flatlands can get pretty repetitive but I am happy on a two lane ribbon through farm or forest. Later tonight, the second of my two plays I came to see on this trip, this one in Oxford MS. SpyderWalter

Nashville Today, Natchez Trace tomorrow Cincinnati was great (got my Goetta, Gold Star and Graeters) and I have the best extended family. IMHO. Today Nashville. As I was Ryding toward my beloved Cafe Loveless I knew I would pass the old Barn Dinner Theater where I performed in the early...

Springfield and Pit Bull and LaMonster was amazing! I very much enjoyed my first visit and very short time in Springfield Missouri. I went because the folks at the Drury University Theatre Department selected one of my new plays to produce in an evening of short works. It was the very first...

Day 2 Lots of Rain on the Blue Ridge Parkway A rainy, foggy ride on the BRP today, had to pull back the speed. Saw several deer and turkey, very few cars and even fewer motorcycles (and no Spyders). One of the park rangers told me that it is dead quiet on rainy days. The rain kept it just a...

You should try it! Once that door is closed behind you it is nice and dark and easier to sleep! Actually, living in Manhattan the safer and cheaper way to store the bike is in a storage unit in New Jersey. I park a 400cc scooter on Manhattan streets and then scoot over the bridge in five...

Here in the NorthEast it is our trusted EZ Pass system where some toll roads are slightly cheaper for (M)otorcycle riders. Wish I could place it somewhere hidden and still be read but that's a whole other thread! Spyder Walter

First day good with rain First day ryde from NYC to Waynesboro VA went well but had rain for the last half hour. Will have it again tomorrow for start of ride of BRP. That's OK as long as my stop in Craggy Garden, my favorite spot on the Parkway is clear. Using a Biker's Friend large bag on...

Set to begin my first Epic Spyder Journey

I have taken several long road trips on previous two wheel devices and am about to embark on my first epic trip on the new 2014 RT SE6. (Did short jaunts from NYC to the Adirondacks and another to Maine to break it in and get up to the first service.) I write stage plays (as a hobby, need my...

Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

On my Victory Vision I hit a road bump at just the right frequency and it popped the transponder off the windshield tape strips and into the weeds at the side of a highway. Never found it and had to pay to replace it. Since I got the Spyder wanted to find a place in out of the ability to pop...

Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

My transponders are literally brand new and I was hoping that would help. Am considering just putting in glove box (or whatever that is called between my thighs) and in case of trouble just pulling it out and waving it. Popping frunk lid meant turning engine off etc. Hoping to mount on bike...

Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

I have had my 2014 RT for a couple of months and had a tussle with the EZ-Pass people here who are canceling motorcycle tags as they were being abused by cagers. I had to supply registrations for my two bikes and they still took their sweet time about issuing new ones. Just got them and...

    Touring w/o a Trailer

Biker Friend Endorsement I have used a Biker's Friend for some years on my old Victory Vision (Street edition 2009 Arlen Ness Custom). Because there was no sissy bar I used the four straps to attach it tightly and it was perfect backrest. I am new to Spyder world and plan a 2 week trip soon...

    Antenna Missing? Snapped off?

Shorty? This I have not heard of. Is this a BRP product or after market? I think it would also be nicer looking... Do you know the brand? Thanks... Walter

    Antenna Missing? Snapped off?

Arrived in the Adirondacks on a weekend trip and while unpacking the 2014 RT realized the antenna was missing. Looks like it was snapped clean off near the base. Now, this is not part of my pre-ride check, but I would have noticed if it was not there while packing it up because I am standing...

Experienced Riders and Riding Gear - Am I kidding my self ??

You are right. Militant is the wrong word and I withdraw that term. It was a bad choice and should better be expressed with your term advocates. Sorry about that. ATGATT ADVOCATE has a better ring and will use from now on.
