• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    NEW GUY IN NORTH JERSEY

Welcome to 1330 land. I also ride out of North Jersey (Englewood) and live in New York (Manhattan) through New Jersey and New York and occasionally around the country. I am also relatively new to the RT-S (July) and loving the new ryde. There are other more experienced North Jersey Ryders who...

    Little Bit Chilly Finger Ride

Went ont he WBAB Cold Finger Ride today on Long Island, pretty chilly, thousands of bikes, but mostly leather bound Harleys. Did see one other Spyder but didn't get to chat. Lots of fun. The biker bash after was not any fun (never is) but found a great restaurant in Patchogue called Bobbicue...

    ATWATT

I have a new acronym: All Three Wheels All The Time I am now the proud owner of another three wheel vehicle - a 2016 Piaggio MP3 500 ABS/ASR. Pretty cool and I am just now getting used to all the features and quirks of this new scooter. It is obviously different from the Spyder in that it...

    Little Bit Chilly Finger Ride

I really enjoy winter riding and this is the first winter with my Spyder. So far I don't even need to turn on the heated grips. Went on a nice Christmas Day ride and there were lots of other bikes on the road, unusual for this time of year because in the New York/New Jersey has no snow and...

    Fuel Gauge Question

So very true. As a former Victory Vision owner I am well familiar with the burping maneuver necessary to get a really full tank. While the low slung bifurcated gas tank helped keep a low center of gravity on the Vision, I have not had much success with burping the Spyder! ;) SpyderWalter

    NYC Motorcycle Show

Also went to the Javits. Yes smaller than last year, liked several parts but I guess I've been there so many years I've already bought what I need so didn't spend much money. Great to chat with the good folks at the Spyder spot. SpyderWalter

    Rider magazine cover and report

Just love the Spyder I still do ride two wheels but fell in love with the Spyder several years ago on a test drive. Finally able to afford a Spyder (and noting the upgrades to 1330 and more) I went ahead and bought it. I've had three surgeries in three years and feel much better about my long...

    FOBO TPMS

I have the FOBO and like the ability to know exact pressure instead of eye balling the tires during pre ride check list SpyderWalter

    Shoei vs HJC Helmets

I have both the NeoTech and the J-Cruise. I got the J-Cruise because my beard had gotten too long for the full face and I wanted something more open and still safe. I trust the quality of Shoei and it is solid. I love the J-Cruise even after trimming my beard back. Great open feeling and...

    Spyder Sightings

Was in Sloatsburg Sunday 11/29 at Rhodes North Tavern in my Cognac RT named Josephine and then on to some of my favorite roads in Harriman State Parkland Bear Mountain. A lovely chilly fall ride. Sorry I missed you! SpyderWalter

    Shoei vs HJC Helmets

Have tried several helmets and strongly prefer the Shoei and have both a J-Cruise and NeoTec. A previous modular saved my noggin in a low side and always feels comfortable. Find what fits best. SpyderWalter

    Who doesn't have a garage

Because I live in Manhattan I have no garage and no desire to park it on the street. Garage rental space in this area is far too expensive so I park it in storage just across the river in New Jersey. There is no power in this storage (though it is kept at a decent temperature) so I cannot put...

    What's your "traditional" Thanksgiving meal?

I choose to go to my favorite NY steak house. While they offer a turkey dinner, I always choose their steak. Yum! SpyderWalter

    Spyder in the Snow???

Winter OK but not snow? Here in the Northeast roads are cleared pretty quickly. This is my first winter with the Spyder but I used to ride my Victory Vision 2 wheeler in the winter once the roads were cleared. I hope to do this again this winter, I know the concern about salt, but can I...

Lamonster nbv vs fbb highway pegs?

While I cannot directly compare, I can vouch for the LaMonster pegs. They provide a good alternate riding position that helped on a long trip. They are very solid and I have used them to prop up my frame to shift as i ryde. Any close riders in your area that have each that you can compare...

New 2 GoPro - Where to mount?

Got a new GoPro Silver recently. Played with only slightly. Mounted it to my helmet but the resulting video showed all my head turning to check traffic, which I do as a safe rider which made the video slightly disorienting. So to all who have GoPro or similar device - I want to capture the...

Set to begin my first Epic Spyder Journey

I use the Rev'It one piece high visibility rainsuit and only thing I still need to work out is securing well around the ankles. May try a rubber band or to alter it. No leakage as I also have waterproof riding boots (Tourmaster) which kept my feet very dry, just irritating dragging of extra...
