• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 Electric Concept Vehicle

The attention is on the sexy side of innovation. This is a totally impractical concept until EV/ battery technology makes tenfold improvements. Until then money is better spent supporting their existing customers and dealers. Sent from my SM-T807V using Tapatalk

    Best year to buy?

I opted to pay more for a '15. Had looked at '13's but SIGNIFICANT improvements in the RT platform convinced me.

2014 ST - Ltd - High Pitched Squeal When Turned Off???

My Wife's new '15 STL does it all the time. I think it a sustain & slow cut out on the electronics system, normal.

    OIL CHANGE QUESTION

Ouch! $63 bucks for 2 magnetic hex bolts (and they don't even light up! :gaah:) Is this really worth it rather than sticking with the OEMs?

Upgrade Speaker for my 2015 RT L

I am very happy with my JBL GTO 529/429 combination. Was able to install the 529s in front scraping knuckles through a tight gap behind the upper side panels (without removing the dash) Huge difference in sound at any volume

A beautiful day to be on a spyder in the Blue Ridge of Virginia

I've been following this forum for quite awhile now, and it's great to be connected with everyone. A lot of good information and great people. I guess a forum is for posting problems and getting answers, and in my view there are far too many complaints about these machines. They're complicated...

    steve from brp answered

Maybe I'm missing something here but what was Steve's (from BRP) response? Other than BRP doesn't support the idea of disabling? Was it a PM or a post? 2015 RTSS and 2015 ST-L with no DESS issues but my wife and I are planning long road trips to see the Nat. Parks.

LED or equivalent fog lights for the ST/RS /GS family

This is a call-out to all vendors that support the Spyder 99x family. Why should I buy yesterday's technology integrated halogen foglight kit from BRP for $409 (!) for my 15 STL when LEDs are so much better? and cheaper.....but nobody offers them?? We want better integrated lighting to...

    Observations of The Spyder Universe

As a general rule I don't think Spyders appeal to younger folks. They are way expensive, not particularly fast, not economical, cool in the eyes of the beholder, don't even come with Bluetooth. And most millennials haven't even looked under the hood of their car, let alone creative farkling --...

    baja ron shock adjusters install

It's very tight in there removing the upper shock bolts; that's the hardest step. Don't know how anyone could gat a video cam in there. Besides, as I said be4, Ron's instructions are pretty clear. I just added some tips to make it a little easier...

    baja ron shock adjusters install

Some tips on installing BajaRon's shock adjusters. Yes he does. Even at zero turns the adjusters raised the front end of my 15 RTSS by almost 1 inch. I am playing with the various adjustments after seating them at zero. With one turn, I noticed the ride (200lbs solo) was noticeably more...

12v outlet in frunk has no power

Just to close the loop on this I fixed the problem by removing the front and side panels loosening all frunk attachment points enough to lift it up and tilt forward to reach back and connect the 2 wires that the dealer forgot about thanks to all of you who steered me in the right direction...

    ST foglight confusion

Can anyone clear up my confusion over which OEM foglight kit will fit my wife's 15 ST-L?. There are 2 part numbers 219400348 (on cheap cycle parts, eBay elsewhere but not the Can am store) that fits 2013 2014 ST 219400614 (on the Can am site and fewer eBay vendors) fits 2013 and up ST. Can...

    RT Full Cover thoughts

For travelling I can't see using a full cover at the expense of storage space for the long haul. Like others I have a Nelson Rigg half cover which fits great over the bike and my CalSci large windshield, and it's pretty compact. I also use the Ultimate seat cover underneath to avoid squishy...

The Right Tool - what to use to adjust the passenger foot peg

Yep, on my 2015 RTS it's a 13mm hex and its the same as a '14 in that respect. As you know the bolt is recessed so use a 3/8 or 1/4 socket in order to get a grip

How do you remove the radio antena?

I agree, I replaced the $50 (PoS :D) BRP breakable mast with the shorty flexible $9 WalMart antenna which will flex when you put the cover on and reception is equal. Coming from the mtns. of VA.

Sena 10 vs Sena 20 vs BRP's BT dongle

There are some posts on this, but briefly the Sena 20 is the later headset with greater intercom range, later BT standard, FM, and other bells/whistles included. Check their website for details. I have had the SMH10 for 3 years now and it works great for less money than the 20. The dongle is...
