• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I assume that's their gloss black? Most of the photos on their website were matte black. So I was wondering what the gloss looked like. I think gloss would look better on my bright red bike.

I recently bought a red 2012 Spyder RTSE5. I'm thinking about custom graphics. Google searches haven't turned up anything I'm terribly excited about for the red RT. So far, I'm leaning toward wide black racing stripe kits, maybe a Flying Tiger shark mouth kit, or custom Iron Cross/Red Baron...

Where in Texas are you from?

Mineola I grew up here and moved home a couple of years ago. My wife and I are both veterans. We both ride. Members of CVMA. I've also lived in Dallas, Houston, San Angelo, and El Paso. I'm a graduate of SMU. Other states and countries we've lived in: Florida, Missouri, Illinois...

How do you remove the radio antena?

Did you have to replace the base or just screw the new antenna into the factory installed base? I'll spend a few bucks for a shorty IF it doesn't turn into a major project.

    UNSEEN DISABILITIES

Loved reading this thread! Thanks for your stories. I've been totally and permanently disabled for over a decade due to a line of duty head, neck, spine injury in the military. Folks observing me casually would never suspect, thanks to 10 long, hard years of rehab, some awesome docs and...

Oh, it's a calm day today with winds only about 10-20 mph. ;) When we were stationed at Fort Bliss (El Paso, TX), a Command Sergeant Major was riding home from work on his Gold Wing and the wind picked him up off the highway and threw him about 50 feet into one of those giant highway signs on...

Just took the bike out on my first ride to get used to controls. Short ride around neighborhood with lots of extra stop/start, swerving, cornering, U-turns, etc. I didn't realize the turn signals are auto cutoff until about the 3rd turn. I'll stick to the residential streets for a few more...

Tires are great and it's due for another oil change in about 1,000 miles. The maintenance records are flawless. I knew the original owner. He's "that guy."

In Mineola, a lot of the residential city lots are 3/4 acre to 1.1 acres. If you're looking for a parcel that size, I'd recommend focusing on the edges of town and make sure you actually choose one that is legally OUTSIDE the city limits. Huge tax difference! A lot of folks don't realize...

Terrell is a bigger town and you're a LOT closer to Dallas for entertainment, healthcare, job opps, shopping, etc. Mineola is MUCH smaller and more rural. By comparison, you will find Terrell has a "rough" element that is missing in Mineola. On the other hand, you can be incognito in Terrell...

Thanks, everyone. Well, went to unload it from the trailer and found out the battery is original and DOA. Figures. Taking it over to Broadway Powersports in Tyler to get a new battery installed. Haven't even got the extended factory warranty transfer completed yet, but batteries aren't...

Just wanted to say howdy to everyone and thank the admins for this website. My wife just bought me a 2012 Spyder RT SE5 for Christmas. It's got 13,000 miles on it. I'm sure I'll have a lot of annoying questions.
