• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Nope, not the 2017 Daytona F3-S SE model..... Not mine at least. That's the disappointing thing. Want a little more "down low" power. Not so interested in high speed. Don't get me wrong, it's still a blast to ride. Just a little "sleepy" out of the gate. I think something isn't quite...

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

My machine (Daytona 500 F3-S SE) is supposed to have 115 hp. The BRP videos show it "smoking" tires on the track during counter-steering maneuvers. Really? LOL! (If I really tried/wanted to, I think I could make more noise with the tires using the brakes than the throttle lol/col.)

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Disabled traction control last evening for the first time. Not a big/any? difference! Still no significant rear tire slip under full acceleration, even from stop on a turn out of parking lot onto highway, hammering throttle in 1'st. Wondering if it could be the Corbin back pack on the rear...

    F3 Daytona total production number

While I'd like a little more power, I actually don't think I'd want a turbo in this type of machine. They never really worked out for bikes when turbos were "the thing" back in the day. What would be nice though is 1 or 2 more teeth on the rear "sprocket." I realize I could get away with this...

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Hi Peter; From a dead stop, I can pin the throttle and machine accelerates. (Once rpm's build after a little "logie-ness" down low - acceleration is strong and engine has "spirit" for the most part.) But not matter what, that rear tire will NOT cut loose in straight line with anti-slip...

    F3 Daytona total production number

So what are they making for an encore for 2018?

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Exactly what I had read, thought & expected.....

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

LOL.... About 190 and 5'10" (Pretty good shape for my age. ~ I actually trail run at night 3x a week and climb trees all fall.) Why? Because I really like beer too!

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Well aware of tire spin wasting power/acceleration etc. Reason I started this thread is/was: Having seen all the promo videos, they seem to display stock machines that are more responsive. (the actual BRP videos) Possibly only the hand clutch models actually spin like that? I also remember...

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

With nanny mode engaged, I cannot spin tire on F3-S SE (Daytona 500) regardless of how much throttle I give it off the line. (Straight line or otherwise.) ~ Are you implying spinning requires disengagement of nanny? (And not that I want to smoke a tire or anything. Just looking for more...

2017 F3 (SE) Nanny OFF performance?

Haven't disabled mine but thinking about it..... Before I do I'd like to know: Acceleration: Does dis-engaging the nanny effect power to the rear tire in straight line acceleration? I've never had the tire spin or even get "loose" under hard acceleration (it's an automatic.) ~ I've tried...

What Mileage Are you Changing Your Oil?

I'd go 3k, because frequent oil changes can't hurt much (well, maybe the wallet is an exception!) The intervals listed in the manual outright scare me regardless of oil type used. It's the contaminants (including moisture) etc., not just oil "break-down."

    Jacking points for the F3

Serious about the WD40 on the knees? I've heard that it's actually made from grapefruit and many people do actually use WD40 as a lubricant like that.... Not kidding here. Your post caught my attention. (All can laugh and roll eyes, but I've heard this from several different sources yet...

    Short reach handlebar question

Just a footnote here regarding stock clearance: My stock (drag bars) on my 2017 f3-d500 do in fact barely hit the left side of the tank at full turn. I haven't changed and/or adjusted anything. They're set correctly on center and feel "just right."

    Short reach handlebar question

Since you also are riding a D-500, I'm thinking that the handling (in general) is something you may miss switching to the regular bars. Could be wrong, but this typically goes for snowmobiles. And IMO there's a very close resemblance to how these things ride/corner/handle. (I'm 5'10 and maybe...

Best ECU flash results ever for me

Two parts to the nanny. One is anti-tip which you can't avoid. (So no, you shouldn't have front tires off the ground for long lol/col.) But the other one is anti-slip (which on the 2017's at least) can be completely disabled. Haven't tried it yet because I have little interest in smoking off...

Best ECU flash results ever for me

Exactly lol.... Disabled PC cores on chips etc. That was my point.... 20% gain on an ECU remap makes sense. But if you're 95% of the way there on the S model... Would really like some info on ECU remapping gains as it pertains to the 2017 F3-S models specifically. Personally, I'd like a little...

Best ECU flash results ever for me

Would like to know how this remapping effects the 2017 F3-S models like my D-500 (se). They're already tuned a little "hotter" and more aggressively setup (nanny etc.) than prior years. ~ Not to mention the S models also have more power stock. On that note: I've always wondered if the extra...

SE6: What's that subtle ringing "tinging" sound while driving?

OP here: Mine went away after the a couple of hundred miles.... Thinking the heat shield may in fact be the correct answer.

    New F3S owner question

Hmmm, I never received any 3m squares. All f3's are supposed to come with them?
