• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And real tires! Also, like 4Marie said, more ground clearance. And real tires.

    Spyder Sightings

I saw several Spyders this week on my trip through Iowa. I met a lady at the courthouse in Muscatine, Ia from Minnesota. I had fed her meter by mistake. She saw my trike and we got to talking. It is just good to see people out riding no matter what they ride. Just enjoy riding.

    I wish Kawi made Spyders

I bought a KZ900 in '76. It was my first bike and the first bike I ever rode. Had it until '89. I envy you. Take care of it and it forever. Wish I still had mine.

    Suggestions for my trip

If you are not in big hurry, you can go on the real "Route 66" across Oklahoma. Lots to see. You will go through many towns. It is pretty well marked with signs. In Chandler, you can stop and see Jerry McClenahan. He is the author of the "Route 66 EZ Guide".

    Black Hills, SD

You need to go down to Mount Rushmore then take Iron Mountain south. You will love it with the switchbacks and pigtails.

    Harley Dealer Visit

When I had my old Harley, on trips, everyone stayed about a quarter to half mile back. Often I was relegated to the rear of the group. As far as what you ride, every now and then you'll run into someone with an attitude. The majority of us don't care. We just want as many people to enjoy...

Riding a Spyder and a Harley Trike

Interesting, since a transmission costs less than $2k and can be changed out in a day. Sales people say a lot of things to make a sale. He should have used a better example since the Harley trans is pretty bulletproof.

Songs that are best for riding

Surviving cancer the third time, my favorite songs are "Don't Fear The Reaper" and "Riding The Storm Out". I ride everyday like it is my last. Everyone should ride this way

    Thunderstorms predicted!!

:agree: Don't know how many times I have left home when it's supposed to rain and ran into to nothing but great weather. When it does rain, I just put on my rainsuit and continue on my mission. Staying at home right now is not an option. That will come way too soon.:banghead:

Riding a Spyder and a Harley Trike

I had a '14 RTL and put almost 19k on it in two years. I enjoyed riding it. I just had an issue with not being able to get anyone to mount aftermarket tires along with having it in the shop for other problems. My wife's issue was the lack of dealer support out on the road. I traded for a '17...

    Bump Skid installation disaster

If you ride on completely flat roads there is absolutely no need for a bumpskid. I thought the same thing but it was the first addition to my Spyder. When I sold it, the bumpskid was beat to h***.

    Who blows their ryde?

I washed my new ride today for the first time after 4100 miles since Feb.1st. As I was washing it, I remembered my dealer talking about a guy who will wash and detail for around $100. I don't care how he gets it dry.:roflblack: He will be seeing me a least once a month. I don't mind...
