• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Slingshot has me curious!

In my opinion gutsy (bold) move, let alone costly in some states as they had legal battles to figure out the classification of the Slingshot. Some states were saying it was a car. You don't straddle a seat, it has a steering wheel, they have a GM engine. I do agree with your "took...

    Slingshot has me curious!

Motorcycle type or car??? I'm sorry, but I still don't see how Polaris EVER convinced ANY state government or federal government that this is a motorcycle type vehicle classification. The only similarity is the fact it has 3 wheels. Polaris gets past ALL the safety standards that are...

Too quiet on the RS & ST forum

Everyone talks about a learning curve from riding a motorcycle. However I myself had no problems even when I started test driving some. I figured it would be like my snowmobile for the way it rode, and to me thats exactly what its like snowmobiling. Your reference to the quad is also the a...

    ridiculous maintenance charges

Like others have said... I see it like this... #1 Do it yourself #2 Find a smaller motorcycle shop #3 Get used to what your dealer charges (Like Bob said maybe its not that out of whack) I'm a firm believer (nowadays especially) you get what you pay for. The dealer for sure can check for...

have 75 mi. total and already broke the RH water deflector plastic piece ..!

Exactly whats wrong! What are you going to do when your broke down on a trip and the local dealers closed up because all you care about is saving money at the moment. Wait for your drone to come from Amazon (or whatever)??? This is exactly what is KILLING dealers...

    DIY tire replacement

Take in to the professionals I have a Harbor Freight changer, and a $500 dollar manual changer from another company that I don't remember the brand. I change tons of tires all year as I own a lawnmower dealership. I would NEVER change my Spyder tires on either of the 2 tire changers I own...

    It's Becoming Clear To Me...

Sounds like a problem with the dealership your going to. On behalf of BRP's support I think they are great. Just the fact that they actually allow you to call them, and don't just tell you you have to call one of their dealers. Arctic Cat is like that you can't talk to anyone there usually...

Happy for you! GLAD you had a great time up there!!! If that is the future of snowmobiling it looks to be ALL TRACK DRIVE... NO SKI'S... very interesting!!!

    600 mile svc

BUDS In my opinion the biggest advantage of a dealer doing it is their ability to plug into BUDS to check for updates, & stored codes. As far as them covering future warranty I believe no OEM by law can not cover something just because work was done by you, and not a dealer. That goes true...

    2008 RS SM5

Mice = problems Since you said you had a mouse nest in the air box. I would also suggest looking at ALL the wiring, and vacuum hoses anything in general that is rubber. Those little creatures will chew on anything, and everything! I have seen them chew right through spark plug wires not...

Not really what I need too know For the 1st 2 responses thanks for the info on sitting = not good. I get that to a point. I am a mechanic and own a dealership in another industry so I am fully aware of problems from little use. I recently purchased this Spyder so the sitting not being used...

    2012 RS-S SE5 1,400 miles = oil leak ALREADY

Every time I come back from a ride I have a small spot of oil under my 2012 RS-S SE5 Spyder (1,400 miles) about the size of 3 quarters in a row. I have had the panels off multiple times not finding the source until this past weekend. I found the oil to be coming from the water pump weep hole...
