• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wheels falling off?

The point others are trying to make is it's torqued to 221 Ft lbs. (Corrected sorry!!!) That is why they reference a torque wrench / breaker bar. You would never be able to get that nut off torqued that high with any standard ratchet you would have with you on a Ryker. You need something with...

    F3-S coolant

Most auto engines are aluminum I thought nowadays :dontknow: Instead of driving to the dealer an hour and a half just order it online from a dealer since you only need to "top it up"

    oil engine

Use whatever brand and blend synthetic or semi synthetic oil you would like. Just make sure it meets the oil specs found in your owners manual. You could have done this while it was still under its warranty. OEM's can not force you to use their brand oil by law in USA (not sure in Canada...

    Why the Ryker feels "Fast"

I find it interesting that you say the Ninja is faster, but not as much as you expected. My last Suzuki GSXR600 redlined I believe at 17,500 and I could easily get about 95 MPH out of just 2nd gear! I still have 4 more gears to go. That being said thats darn near the top speed of a Ryker...

Dealer dropped Can-Am line because of Ryker?

I think OEM companies in the power sports industry from time to time tend to "stick" the dealers with too much product. In my area in WI I can say in the last 20 years I know Arctic Cat has done this, and Polaris (many dealerships have closed that had those brands). More than likely the OEM's...

Anyone Find Out What Exact Oil Is In Ryker From Factory?

Not necessarily true, you know what happens when you assume! I would just call the dealer and ask them to find out if they come filled or do they do it in final setup. I own a power equipment dealership, and almost every brand I sell if it is run at the factory ALL the fluids are evacuated...

    Why the Ryker feels "Fast"

If my memory serves me right I recall a Can-Am promotional video that they put out with one of their engineers who work on the Ryker talking about the seating position and or low center of gravity and the effects it has for the rider. I also have to say BajaRon is also onto something with the...

    Rykers Require 87 Octane - Not 92!

Ounce again 110% :agree: its like you are pulling my thoughts out of my head!

    Rykers Require 87 Octane - Not 92!

If your owners manual says 87 is ok, then run it! Either the engine doesn't have that high of a compression ratio or the computer can compensate for the lack of octane, either or your fine with the 87! Why all the fuss over this :dontknow:

Oil level check results confusing to me

My thought and experience is that it all depends on how long the Spyder sits for. I have noticed not much difference when checking the oil cold, to a huge difference and not much oil even reading on the dipstick! I notice it seems to have a lot to do with the amount of time my Spyder sits...

    Ryker Ykester!!!

Very happy to hear this! I HATE the rider forward feel on everything else I've ridden or even sat on! I am betting the low seat height (center of gravity) plays a huge role in what you are saying.?.?. I could easily see the big grin just like when you were a kid and 1st put your butt in a "big...

    Ryker Ykester!!!

Agree 100% the Spyder lineup since 2014 is very touring/ cruising focused (that's the crowd that is buying them), the Spyder GS, & RS(S) models are the sportiest Spyder / Rykers by far! My RS-S in my garage looks just as sporty as my Yamaha super sport bike! The riding position of the RS-S...

    Ryker Ykester!!!

What about the Ryker resale value??? My opinion is they won't be very good. Also when I was at the dealership over the weekend they had the Ryker lined up next to the Spyder's, and they look like a little big wheel compared to the Spyder's when lined up the way they had them at the...

Why are there still 2016's for sale new?

Sometimes dealers will buy stock from a dealer that closed. That stock very well may be "aged" inventory because of the mess surrounding when a store / dealership closes up. Ounce in awhile the Mfg. Can-am may have aged inventory even in warehouse still, which will sell to a dealer at a...

    Millennials and Harley Davidson

It's so funny that you say young people have never seen a manual transmission in a car. Not only that, but my kids get so confused with any engine powered anything even if it has a manual choke!!! They are so used to the EFI engines just turn the key and go. I think that Can-Am is on the...

Check transmission periocically popping up on display.

Funny you say "give her a good run", because when it comes on the dash "check transmission" I get on the throttle pretty hard and it goes away, coincidence??? I was thinking the paddle shifter, and the gear position sensor as well. I do ride it often, just not long trips usually about 20 -...

Check transmission periocically popping up on display.

My check transmission light has been periodically popping up on the screen of my 2012 RS-S Spyder 2,800 miles (As if that matters). It doesn't stay on, or drive any different. One time only it wouldn't shift when I was pushing the paddle shift button; thats only been one time, and I hadn't...

Will shaft drive be coming to the 1330?

I still feel its irrelevant, to complain about stuff all the time. Spyder's are just darn fun, & I don't care if I feel vibrations, or chatter. I could care less about the vibes or chatter, its a mechanical marvel I am driving with how many darn parts / components to make it move with out...
