• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyderfest - What's in the bag ?

I'm sad Preregistered early and wifey and I were looking forward to going again. Then my job status took a car left. Was to start a new adventure April 1st, then May 1st and now May 15th. If I could have seen the future on this, we'd be there sipping some cocktails about now with Cruzr Joe...

    Emptied room at Best Western

Unfortunately, :opps: I had to cancel our reservations at the Best Western for Spyderfest. My wife and I won't be able to attend Spyderfest this year because my boss decided to sell off the part of his company that I worked in. The nerve of him. I think I may have been sold as part of the...

    Clear protective wrap.....

Paint Protect I would also be interested in a clear paint protecter. I know after time the bugs and debris will be hard on the finish. I already have some scuff marks on the top of my RT's right bag lid where my wife has difficulty swinging her leg over. This shouldn't be rocket science, but...

Trailer Wheel Trade, way to do it

Trailer Wheel swap Okay Joe, I finally got around for taking a picture of the wheels on my recently acquired 622. They would match up to a Limited I'm sure. Probably only 300 miles on the tires. So, any Freedom owners out there looking for an upgrade, this would be an easy one. Coke

Trailer Wheel Trade, way to do it

I need 'em too Joe, That is such a good idea. I'm glad it all worked out. I should consider that also before I follow through with my original thought of trying that plastic-coat spray to get the wheels closer to the ones on my Special Series. Any other Freedom owner looking for chrome...

so i had nothing to do today, so i went looking

Not hot I have also owned many Guzzis ( 8 ) over the 45 years I've been riding, including the 1100 EV and '79 EML sidecar outfit I still have. I always ride with gloves and can easily lay my hand on the head and not bother me. Excellent hand warmer in the early morning. With the cylinders...

    rain gear

I bought new Tour Master rain gear this year for the wife and I. I have a couple old compression bags that were purchased many years ago when before I bought down sleeping bags. With the suits cinched up, they fit nicely together in one saddlebag with room to spare. They are well protected now...

    Chauvinistic Pig?

In the 45 years I've owned motorcycles, No one has ever helped themselves to my ride. Since we bought the spyder the first of the year, it's happened twice. I wonder if it's because it's so new and different to some people or it's less intimidating about getting on and not having to hold it...

    10th Anniversery Special Edition

I always wanted to attach a magnet to an old kickstand and stick on my sidecar outfit just to see if anyone would notice. Once when a buddy and I were at a rain soaked BMW rally in Missouri, he was looking for an (empty) beer can to put under his side stand. I asked him to get one for me. Was...

    Thank you Bumpskid

Dang it. Almost make a guy cry over that one. Something else to keep an eye on is the fill covers at gas stations. Some of those are raised up a couple inches and I've seen them not quite seated and sticking up even more. It's bad enough with road trash that's difficult to avoid at speed...

Is gifting a Gremlin Bell still a thing?

I also have a gremlin/guardian bell on my '03 Guzzi but none yet on the RT. The last few I bought off of Amazon. I think I will buy a bulk in brass from the link from post 7. Not a bad idea to have a few extras on hand to give out to a ryder or rider in need. Like you say, pay it forward.:ohyea:

    OBO and Nitrogen?

That's a little tidbit I was unaware of. Could explain why I kept losing pressure on my Guzzi after having it done. Thanks AJ I may first play with the tire pressure. Lamont recommended 18/28 but I think I should consider we ryde 2up most of the time and we aren't lightweights unfortunately...

    OBO and Nitrogen?

Yea Fobo. :opps: Duh. Gotta be smart enough to read the box correctly when tired. Homer quote, "Dope!" May have to try the nitrogen idea next time I get to town.

    OBO and Nitrogen?

While at Spyderfest I purchased the OBO pressure monitoring system from Pitbull's booth. ps: Thank you again Lamont for the install (made it look easy). For the short time I've had it I did notice quite a fluctuation in pressure from tire and ambient temperature. I've tried the nitrogen in the...

How are your "Digs" at Spyderfest?

How are your "Digs" at Spyderfest? At the Lamplighter, friendly staff, good breakfast in the morning. A little covered outside deck while listening to the thunder having a cold one was nice. Our room was clean though the shower could be bit bigger. The fridge and microwave came in...

    Hail for Wednesday at Spyderfest

My wife, Bonnie, and I got caught on the four lane north of Denver many years ago. Hurts and noisy, but didn't hurt the bike, a Guzzi. But it was time for a coffee break. The hail was nickel sized. Might not have turned out as well if the stones were bigger though. Sent from my iPhone using...
