• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is correct front suspension A arm attitude?

Don't worry about what it looks like. What is important is that you have the correct preload set on the shocks. On your bike, with the weight of rider, passenger, and cargo, (if always solo, then just your weight & cargo), measure between the upper and lower shock absorber mounting bolts. The...

Can't remember how to replace the brake reservoir pin - Help?! '22 RT

It's there as a lock to keep the reservoir from potentially getting bounced up and out of its slot. If you lift the reservoir off the bracket and put the lock back in first, you'll see how it can act as the lock. Then you can hold it out of the way as you place the reservoir back on. I also...

Anyone else found an RT without the wire for lower front Auxiliary light?

My friend has decided to take the bike back to the dealer to have them find and/or install the wire. Fingers crossed!

Are Keys programed at the dealer only? Or can BUDS Megatech do it?

It does not require the Megatech license. That's how the dealers can do it. Dealers are not permitted to have the Megatech license to my knowledge. The key must be accurately cut due to the fact that you must first turn the bike on using an original key, start BUDS/BUDS2, then follow the prompts...

Are Keys programed at the dealer only? Or can BUDS Megatech do it?

Yes. But the key must already be cut properly and be able to turn in the switch.

Anyone else found an RT without the wire for lower front Auxiliary light?

Between myself and numerous friends, we have all bought and installed the lower front auxiliary light on 2020 through 2023 RT's. Today I went to install one on another friends' 2022 RTL and found that there is no wire harness attached to the blanking plate installed in that location. I tried to...

Anyone else's Shift Linkage keep falling off? Any solutions?

Can anyone provide the part number for that shift arm? It sure sounds like what has failed on a friends' 2013 ST yesterday. I've looked on the parts diagrams and am having trouble locating the arm...

May just need to have the steering angle reset using BUDS2.

My 2022 S2S has a constant RPM fluctuation - problem, or normal?

It only reads in 50 rpm increments. So, in reality you might be seeing 875... perfectly normal operation.

How to disable DESS using BUDS? Any Step-by-Step Procedures?

Peter, you're right. The break for Spyders is at the 2017 model year. BUDS is for 2008 - 2016, and BUDS2 is 2017 and newer.

    Can I plug-n-play Tricled & Showchrome harnesses?

From my experience the quick answer is no. They use different connectors. I've resorted to using heat-shrink solder connectors and just cutting off the different ends that don't line up.

If you want a cat delete, Monster tune, etc better buy it now

I think it's more Chicken Little. Back in the early 70's we were all afraid that we'd never be able to work on our cars again, what with the new-fangled computers and fuel injection instead of carbs. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Anyone else noticed this Unusual battery draw? 2023 RT Ltd

Check for amperage draw after about 45 minutes after shutdown. 5.4 amps is a huge amount, but the other draws might go off after some time. Also, it seems like all new Spyders are coming with Chinese batteries now instead of Yuasa. I have personally changed out at least 3 for friends. These...

Anyone doctored their 2021 F3 Top Case Back Rest?

A local auto upholstery shop charged $60 to add enough padding to create a lumbar support. They said there is ample vinyl material to pull over additional padding and still be able to re-staple it. MUCH more comfortable.

Now No Reverse! Just got my Spyder back after recall OK yesterday - Ideas?

Look underneath from the left side. There's a bracket that hangs down about the middle of the bike. This bracket holds your reverse actuator. If the bracket looks bent, the actuator is probably damaged. They are easily bent by jacking the bike at the wrong point or by backing off of a lift...

    2019 RT Ltd won't start - Codes U3E0C and U3001 - any ideas?
