• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

trick to removing and installing seat?

I recently had my stock seat off to install the Utopia backrest. I was warned ahead of time about the openings in the molded seat pan near the hinge. I tore off a couple small pieces of duct tape and covered the holes before beginning my disassembly. Once the backrest was installed I found it...

    what to do?

I agree with " bikguy". I have read a number of reviews on the Spyder RT. Some have been very positive, and some have not. Some of the issues that this writer relates have not been an issue for me or many other owners. You really have to take some of these reviews with a healthy "grain of...

    Short Shifting?

That was kind of my thinking as well. It really depends on the situation. There is no one RPM at which to shift. It depends on the how "hard" you happen to be riding at the time.

    Short Shifting?

Ok, so this is probably going to sound like a realy dumb question, so humor me. I recently took a friend for a spin on my new RT. After the ride a conversation ensued at which time I was told that I had a tendency to "short shift". In other words, I'm not letting it wind up enough before...

    Front Storage Compartment Light

Ok, so I've looked thru the owners manual and can't seem to find where they talk about the light in the front storage compartment on the RT-S. So, how is that light activated? Is it by switch, or does it come on automatically? I remember seeing it on when the dealer was preping it for...

    RT-S Break In Period?

Picking up my new RT-S this afternoon. :ohyea: Does anyone know if there is a "break-in" period with the Spyder. I was invited to go on a ride with friends this weekend, but someone mentioned to me that they usually recommend a break in period where you vary your riding, speed & RPM for the...

Lead Time on Delivery of New RT

Posted this same thread on Spydertalk, was informed that the RT a/c is out there in some of the dealer inventories. One individual stated that they had a freind who walked in and bought an RT a/c and rode it home the next day. I know the dealer I bought mine from had 4 RTS's in his inventory...

Lead Time on Delivery of New RT

Traded in the RS on Saturday morning, I have a new RT on order, Orbital Blue audio convenience package. I have to admit I had mixed emotions about turning over the keys for the RS, it was really a great ride. But I'm really looking forward to cruising the open road on the RT. I already have a...

    Corbin Seats

I also had to have the drivers seat dished out, I was sliding forward whenever I braked hard. Corbin really worked with me though, they modified a seat and sent it to me, I then took the original seat off and sent it back to them. The new seat was perfect. Great outfit to work with.

    Leaking Exhaust

Took Spydie in for an oil change and made sure to inform the dealer about the surging and popping I experienced when the bike is hot and running in stop and go traffic (after the saftey update). It didn't throw any codes when they hooked it up to the computer, but they did discover a bad...

    Storing Spyder for winter?

Spyder Storage I live in northern Illinois, and also store my Spyder in an unheated garage. You need to invest in a battery tender, this will keep the battery up all winter even though the bike is not being run, additionally, you'll also want to stabilize the remaining gas in the tank. Any...

    ISCI Floorboards and accessories

ISCI Floorboards I saw a posting of the ISCI floorboards with an attached picture, it looks like a nice assembly with good craftsmanship, but where or how do you go about ordering these components? I can't find any website for ISCI and not much comes up when I try to do a search for...

    Loose Corbin Backrest

:dontknow: Recently installed the Corbin saddle seat & back rest. Big improvement over the stock seat (in my opinion). But noticed very quickly that the back rest itself is loose, it woobles from side to side. Took the back plate off (mistake, was a pain getting screws lined up again because the...
