• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Only girls ride three wheels !!!

I too have experienced some "negativity" from other riders. I have a younger brother that lives in Milwaukee. I always go up to his place for the Wisconsin State Fair (a great time if you've never been there). This is in the "inner sactum" of Harley country (Harley is based in Milwaukee)...

    Impressions after DPS replacement

Had initially thought I would wait until spring to have the recall work done, however, I was in need of an oil change and my dealership told me they could do both (oil change & DPS recall) the same day. Dropped off my RTS Saturday morning at 8:30, the dealership called at 1:30 and told me that...

    Impressions after DPS replacement

I have an RTS I bought in mid April, I have put over 4000 miles on it this summer and have not experienced any steering problems or any other issues for that matter. But, I believe I am going to wait until spring before having the recall work done to allow the dealers some time to get familiar...

    Sore Bottom Anatomy

I too have experienced the sore a$$ after a couple hours of continuous riding. I have tried the beaded seat cover, and the gel pad seat cover. While I'll admit the gel pad was better than the bead seat cover, I was still sore and very uncomfortable. I put 365 miles on the RT this past Labor...

    patch

It's an iron on patch. If your unsure about the fabric handling the heat, you can place a thin cloth or towel over the patch when you apply heat to help protect the fabric. Some fabrics will take the adhesive better than others. I had 3 patches after the Spyder Ryder event in Chicago this...

    Bead Seat Help

I recently purchased a beaded seat cover (ceramic beads) for my RTS. I have not noticed any sliding around, however, I'm not completely convinced that this makes that much difference when riding long distance in hot weather. The jury is still out on the bead seat cover for me. I think it...

    Fog Lights

That is exactly the problem, as it was explained to me, people add after market lighting which under "normal" conditions can be blinding to on coming traffic. Hence, any illuminated "fog light" is a ticketalbe offense if illuminated under clear or daytime conditions in Wisconsin. I didn't say...

    Fog Lights

Although I fully agree that the fog lights create more visibility, care must be taken to adhere to local ordinances. Some states, specifically Wisconsin, do not allow the use of "fog lights" in clear or daytime conditions. I have a friend who forgot to turn his fog lights off on his pickup...

    AZ license endorsement

I had a similiar experience here in Illinois two years ago when I bought my RS and went in for the driving test. The instructor asked me to do the U-Turn inside the painted box in the test area, which I couldn't do because the Spyder's turning radius was bigger than the pre-determined area...

Fatal Spyder Collision in Quebec yesterday

Unfortunately, one never completely recovers from something like this, physical injuries heal, emotional scars last a lifetime. I lost my wife in an accident in 2008. My thougts and prayers go out to the survivor and those that witnessed the accident.

Riding Comfort Of Stock Seat & Temperature

So what impact do the beads have on the surface of the seat? Do they leave any impressions if you take the beads off say in cooler weather later on?

Riding Comfort Of Stock Seat & Temperature

Thanks for all the feedback, I may have to investigate the bead riders and give them a try.

Riding Comfort Of Stock Seat & Temperature

Ok, dumb question. Is there any correlation between the outside temperature and riding comfort as it applies to the stock seat on the RT? The weekend I picked up my RT I rode for 3 1/2 hours in 50 degree weather and was very comfortable. This past weekend I rode about and hour and a half in...
