• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Not a gripe, just saying...

Unfortunately a lot of sales people and businesses deserve the reputation they have as a group been labelled with. There are a lot of good ones out there but unfortunately a number of bad ones taint the profession. I think most of us have been stung at some time. Many times I have caught out...

Upgrades some things or Upgrade to new model

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Exciting indeed! Did you test ride the F3s? If so what made you decide to stick with the ST-S? Thanks

Thinking about spare fuel container location

Great work and really looks the part! Did you need to add any breather holes to clear any odour or vapour?

    ST v RS

Update: Rode a 2013 RSS SM5, 2013 ST SM5 then 2012 RT. Wasn't happy with the RSS as this particular one just didn't feel or sound quite right and I did not feel comfortable on it. ST was great although it is the base model without cruise. No passenger backrest either. Riding position felt really...

    ST v RS

Thanks Bfromla and this is why forums like this are so good, additional tidbits of information, personal experience as well as the core stuff that makes for a much more informed decision.

    ST v RS

Thanks Chupaca good to know where the ST fits as it the only one I haven't ridden. Limited by cost so the vtwin is pretty much my only option.

    ST v RS

Apologies for all the questions, I research but there is always something the people on this forum can add that isn't in the manuals/specs. Is a base ST simply a RS with a screen? I ask as I am going to look at both tomorrow and the guy selling the ST said same riding position as the RS and...

    Questions, advice on RT purchase

Thanks will keep all that in mind including the heat recall and how to detect if it has been done. I did think I should be looking at 2013 and later (for the RSS) as I like the idea of the altered suspension geometry and brembo brakes. 2014 and up has the 1330 of course in the RT and the price...

Thanks Navydad, azprince. It does have all I would need and simpler to boot.

    Questions, advice on RT purchase

Thanks Ann did put the wind up me! With the low miles it hasn't had time to have things go wrong and no warranty to cover it now. I sometimes think it could be better to get something that is run in, tried and tested. RSS with 11k might be looking better. Might miss the storage though. I do...

    Questions, advice on RT purchase

Probably not too much in the way of multi day trips. More weekend rides, around town and heading to my kids around 150 miles.

    Parking

I have considered what I would do if I rode a Spyder to work. Out the front there is council retricted parking for cars and motocycles. For cars the limit is 2 hours otherwise you get a fine. For motorcycles it is 8 hours (and a fraction of the cost, a couple of dollars). The motorcycle spots...
