• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Tires...Brand and Size

Not just civilised we are also awake! I was hoping you (and Mike) would chime in Peter. Mine has the raised middle. See picture if I have got your comments correct. Absolutely 15s on it as it is a 2014. Excellent info so it looks like Contis then. Are you able to say why and what you are running...

    New Tires...Brand and Size

About to pull the trigger for new front tires on the ST-S, options are Nankang AS1 in 165x55x15, Hankook Kinergy eco K425 175x50x15 or as mentioned above the Continental Pro Contact 175x55x15. The tire place asked me if they would fit and I have read good reports about them in the wet especially...

Nankang XR611 Rear 225/50R15 - fitted to RTL

Thanks askitee I am Tweed Heads area so right at the border. Cross each day for work. Found a local place that can get Nankangs although they are currently out of stock. The Kendas aren't worn out so I can wait for the Nankangs to come in. Not sure I want to tackle pulling the rear off but will...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Checked the vacuum lines on Spydey and all good. Dropped a torx bit into a black hole while undoing a screw that as it turns out didn't need removing - note to self, read the instructions again before working on it. Removed one of the H4 headlights only to find I had left the new globes in my...

Nankang XR611 Rear 225/50R15 - fitted to RTL

Askitee Did you put the XR611 on the front or different model? Size you put on the front? Found a local Nankang agent so hopefully they will be able to get them. Thanks again

    I have a pleasant problem

I was looking at getting something to enjoy when I retire. Late midlife crisis maybe. Took several two wheelers for a test and loved the new Royal Enfield Interceptor and looked at many others. Your comments kept creeping into front of mind every time I drove our local roads which are narrow and...

    Buying a Spyder

I have a 2014 ST-S which has the heat mitigation mods as standard. Test rode a 2012 RT when I was looking and they can pump out a decent amount of hot air which I only noticed at standstill and I was only wearing runners not boots. When looking I always checked for Spyders that had the heat...

    IS A 130 MPH MOTORCYCLE CRASH - survivable ????

Barry Sheene 170mph+ at Daytona in 75. Not something I would like to go through! or even think about for that matter.

Nankang XR611 Rear 225/50R15 - fitted to RTL

For those who have/had the Nankangs are you still happy with them? For the front were you able to source 165x55x15 in Nankang? I would like to ditch the front Kendas especially at this stage as they are the easiest to remove from the bike for fitting. Did you consider Achilles ATR-K...

2019 RT Ltd - Power Decrease at Higher Rpms

Could it be the issue some have had where the cams are not aligned and out by a tooth?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yesterday got the Shad brake light installed. Thought I would have issues with connectors but the local Autobarn had the correct ones so a nice neat job. Previous weekend did my first oil and filter change on Spydey. GPS mount I think will be next.

    Showing appreciation

And I would not have known what to expect, look for and do pre and post buying the Spyder. The efforts of admins and posters is very much appreciated by myself and clearly others.

Test Ride, do you let them?

All valid comments however having recently been through the process of buying a used Spyder this is what I experienced. I did read this (and the Australian) forum for some time before joining especially tips and tricks and experiences of new to Spyder owners. I also read all the do's and don'ts...
