• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gauges on RTL

BOTH gauges need to be disconnected. You will find a single "free" wire and a plastic cluster of three wires for each gauge. Disconnect all of these on each gauge.

Northeast U.S. Trip to Nova Scotia

Thanks! My Grandmother is originally from Minto. If I can, I'm going to swing through the town. The trip keeps changing due to time limits. I'll have a blog hooked up for the trip. As I get closer we'll be in touch.

    Hard to find patches

I knew it... As soon as I hit the submit button I realized I should have provided the source. It's from a shop on eBay. Search for "dream catcher spider web patch", or try this link...

    Hard to find patches

Just got this in the mail today. It's hard to find large (10" x 12") unique Spyder-related patches. While this may not be most folks preference, I thought it was cool. It's going on the back of a jacket.

How many are heading to lake george

Overdressed I'm scheduled to be in the area for business on Jun 9-11. I may just have to take the Spyder. If you see a guy riding around on an RT in a suit, that will be me! Would love to connect with folks if possible, dinner/drinks, etc.

Trouble filling the tank and poor gage

Analog gauge swap for USB power Ken, as was mentioned earlier, BOTH gauges need to be disconnected for the digital to work. Here is what I did with the empty holes after I removed the analogs. The "blank covers" can be ordered from any dealer. I got mine from iMortorSports (site sponsor) for...

Trouble filling the tank and poor gage

Go Digital Ken... I was just going to say exactly what SpyderAnn suggested. I too have a 2012 RT Ltd. Since using the digital readout, I have had better success and accuracy. When filling up I let the pump shut-off automatically. Then I look close and "squeeze" in a just a little more. As Mike...

Northeast U.S. Trip to Nova Scotia

It's officially on the "a-list." Thanks for the suggestion. With all these great suggestions I won't need to plan a thing. Who needs AAA when you're a member of SpyderLovers?

BajaRon Sway Bar on 2012 RT Ltd

I disconnected both of my analog dash gauges (gas and temp) to utilize the digital readout. Attached to each gauge is a three-wire connector and a "free" spade wire that powers the gauge light. This single free wire is a switched wire and can be tapped. It is easy to fish/route a wire to this...

Northeast U.S. Trip to Nova Scotia

Wow, thanks Craig. Great suggestions. I'll incorporate them into the trip. The ferry ride is chance to rest and recharge a bit. It will depend on the mood when I get in the vicinity. Sometimes I get too antsy for the 1hr trip and may just take the bridge route instead. I may also ride further...

Great suggestion! I've been up there so many times in the past I actually forgot about it. It would be cool to say, "My Spyder Climbed Mt. Washington!"

Northeast U.S. Trip to Nova Scotia

Port Kent? Thanks, Deanna! I grew up in New England and spent a LOT of time in the White Mountains. I so desperately want to ride my Spyder through there on the way to Nova Scotia. Very familiar with the Kanck and always gas up before heading out, great advice. Not sure exactly which ferry I...

Limited registrations The invitation says, "...limited registrations will be on a first-to-register basis." So, apparently they are trying to limit the number somewhat. No mention of an actual number though.

Northeast U.S. Trip to Nova Scotia

Hello Ryders! I'm getting geared up for a solo round trip ride from upstate NY to Nova Scotia, Canada in July this year. I'm interested to hear from those who have made a similar trip to Nova Scotia and any advice. I am a relatively new rider (last year was 1st year riding). I will be taking...

BajaRon Sway Bar on 2012 RT Ltd

Hi Joe, I wasn't real sure at first either. As I read more I began to understand the necessity, especially after taking a few corners a bit too fast. The Spyder automatically went into "safety" mode and all but shut down (as it is supposed to do). The BajaRon sway bar increases stability...
