• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder vs. Conventional Trike - What are the Biggest Differences?

I had no trouble picking the spyder over a trike. The spyder is so much quieter when compared to the harley trikes that I ride with. Plus the spyder was easily 10 grand less. The spyder is quicker to respond as far as speeding up or slowing down and it seems to corner better than the trike. I...

    Winter is upon us

Got out for a short ride today. Was 13 degrees this morning when I left a little after 6am. What a blast. Glad it was only about 6 miles. Roads were dry and no gravel. Summer is just around the corner

    GPS

I looked at the zumo and was too expensive. So I use a garmin mounted on the dash of my 14 rt. installed a plug over one of the speakers. Works great. I keep my phone in the trunk plugged in and have the blue tooth on with my head set in the helmet. Really like this setup. I know the gps isn't...

    Is facebook replacing Spyderlovers ?

I agree. I'm still a spyder newbie and SL is great for new (to me) info on spyder stuff. I do see a lot of post or threads that don't seem to have anything recent but maybe that thread has been talked to the end. I like FB sometimes and periodically get off of it and then later back on it. Lots...

    SENIOR RIDERS

I agree with most of what I read here and who really cares what others think. I really enjoyed my 2 wheels and now really enjoy the 3 wheels. And I can take my wife of 46 years with out fear of her ms causing her to fall off I believe in having fun as long as we can

    Winter riding in Oregon?

Been on that route many times. Great ride. Not sure what lake you mean. I have been into Badger lake also many times and it is a rough road. We ride our atvs into there once a year now with a Forest Service permit. I see 4 wheel drives in there and some cars but I sure would not take my car down...

    Front scrapping on driveways

I see we are on a similar page. I have Ron's sway bar ready for install as well. I hope to get it done in Jan with a stretch of good weather so I can ride over to a friends place. He has the heated garage as mine isn't. Have had a minor scraping incident already also. That caught me by surprise...

    Winter riding in Oregon?

Another short winter ride Got to do some riding around The Dalles today. The rain held off till evening and almost no gravel on the road. Was great to be out for awhile. In the low 40s but without the wind it was not to bad.

From Harley to Spyder RT Limited

Did the same almost Like your story. I switched from 2 wheels to the spyder in October and love it as well. You're right about it wanting to go quickly. My wife couldn't ride the 2 wheeler due to her MS but she loves the spyder as do I. Have over 1100 miles on it so far and like you and all...
