• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Winter riding in Oregon?

We have been getting some good rides in here in The Dalles for weeks now. Went to Heppner yesterday making a loop of over a hundred miles each way. Great roads and not much traffic. Have a PGR event tomorrow and probably a short ride after. Then Sunday another loop of about 130 miles thru Grass...

    A minor rant

I am wondering if you and I have the same dealer. I am headed to Vancouver soon for my first oil change. They told me when I bought the bike that the first service would be about $350 or so. Thinking of having them install a trailer hitch also but will see. Oh well, toys are expensive.

    Front Spring Tensioners

These tensioners sound ok but I already put on rons bar and it really made a difference for me.

    Front Spring Tensioners

I I am not sure what these are for. Is it to raise the spyder a little? Or the ride

    Early Spring?

I agree. What crazy weather. I plowed snow when winter began and nothing since. Early birds here also. Might as well take the plow off. Been riding several times already.

    Baker Built Belt Tensioner

This sounds like a cheaper alternative to fixing a vibration problem. Would that normally be a one time issue?

    New to the Spyder World

When I bought my spyder back in Sept I had never ridden one. Had always been on 2 wheelers on the street. For me riding the spyder is a lot like riding an atv. Have ridden atvs a lot over the years just not much on the hwy except in Utah and Az. After realizing how similar the ride was, the...

    Gopro mounting?

I can't make out the picture very well but it looks like you have the camera looking forward but not behind the windshield. And you are using the JT dash mount correct? I have been looking at doing that with the camera attachment laying flat on the dash from the JT mount with the camera...

Drive belt vibration above 65 mph on 2014 RT

Sounds good to me. This vibration thing sounds like those of us that do not have it are lucky but it could happen sometime. Could it be a difference in belts or something similar?

    Bumpskid

It sounds like they really should. I also have one coming in the mail. I got the standard plain jane one, couldn't afford the pretty one with the lights. They do look nice. Can't wait to get it put on. Also getting ready to put on my kott grilles with the magnets. Finally went down and got the...

    Sway Bar removal.

Even without being much of a mechanic myself I cannot believe these dealers can put out such bad advice. Surely their mechanics are smarter than this.

Alaska 2015 Getting/Being There and Return

I agree. The facts about the noise around bears is well documented. It can and usually will alert them to move away. Works well with black bears. I have no experience with grizzlies.

what sizes will fit a 2014 RT rear wheel

It is amazing that so many riders have had to replace tires with so few miles on them. I guess I should keep a sharp eye on the wear on my tires on my 14 RT. Only have about 2,000 miles so far and can see no wear yet. Tires that are being replaced at less than 5,000 miles must start to show long...

That would be my definite answer as well.

Alaska 2015 Getting/Being There and Return

The bear bells sound like the deer whistles. The whistles seem to alert the deer to run somewhere as if they weren't going to anyway.
