• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Delay in starting procedure

Pirate, discussing issues is the first step in improving things. Was it not the public discussion of heat issues and other problems that led to the evolution of the Spyder from its original configuration to the vastly improved bike we have today? Do you not believe there is room for...

    Delay in starting procedure

You're thinking too small again Bob, there are several options available. I can always use the "ignore" button, but I won't walk away from something I enjoy because you would prefer fellow members who will drink the koolaid. Neither will I shut up or sell my bike after forty years of riding...

    Riding on Sunday 8/2/2015

We're in Lakewood. Horse farms all around with empty country roads. Anyone interested for Sunday? It has the advantage of being close, Sunday is going to be another scorcher.

Bob, Bob, Bob! As you once told me, grow a thicker skin. Not EVERYONE has to agree with you, and you don't have to weigh in on absolutely everything.

    Hail Storm

Scary! I got caught in a storm like that in Yellowstone on my Goldwing. Much smaller hail. Sorry about the bike, and I'm glad you're ok.

    Delay in starting procedure

Well that was uncalled for! I suppose you two don't believe there are any idiosyncrasies in this design, and that anyone who mentions one should be publically flogged. How do you boys look in your cheerleaders outfits and pom poms at the owner events?

Thanks Mike, and thank Anne for the good wishes on my project.

Need Paint Code For 2014 Cognac

Mike, he's not using BRP paint and I'm not sure what his source for the color was, but the four inch sample he gave was a perfect match when laid on the frunk for comparison. He might have said a pint was needed, but that sounds like too little to me. The paint job is costing me $925, and for...

    Delay in starting procedure

Those seconds seem like forever when someone is waiting for the gas pump you just used or you group is ready to go. Add to the "quirk" list the three speedos (counting the GPS), the incomprehensible IPod interface, the bizarre radio station preset procedures, and the inability to keep the dash...

Need Paint Code For 2014 Cognac

Thank you gentlemen. I rode to my dealer today, and after a good 15 minutes on the phone with BRP in Canada, he gave me the PPG code 937659. I took that to my paint shop, and he had already done some research and found the color B284, Alloy Orange Metallic. It was a perfect match to the bike...

Need Paint Code For 2014 Cognac

I'm getting my R-622 trailer color matched to my new RT-S and I need the paint code for 2014 cognac. Does anybody know it, or know where to find it on the bike? The paint shop can't seem to get the information from BRP. I found a thread about alternate sources, but I'd prefer to use the same...

    Extra lights

Modern LED lights add so little draw that electrical output is of no concern. The real issue is the Spyder's CAN bus electrical network, which can be fussy about added electrical accessories. Make sure to use quality lights installed by someone who understands the issues and all should be...

    Very Strange.......

Pam, take a good look under your seat. There should be a Velcro strap holding the toolkit in a spot you won't see unless you're under the seat.

Ultimate Seat....Mid Rider or Tall Boy?

I have the Tall Boy, and I'm only 5'8". The owner had me sit on both seats at Americade, and said that I was just within the limit to be comfortable on the Tall Boy. I love the added room it provides, and with the Ultimate passenger backrest, my wife says she has the same amount of space as...

    2014 RTS Cognac Paint Code

I'm planning on having my 2012 Lava bronze 622 trailor painted to match my cognac 2014 RT-S. Anybody know where the paint code is on the bike, or the code number for the cognac color?
