• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dealer Reviews NJ

I've been using Xtreme Machines in Millstone. I bought my current 2014 Spyder RT-S from them a year ago. They are a big, multi-brand dealership. Their technicians seem to be well trained on Spyders, and they sell a lot of them. There were issues with my trade-in concerning moving accessories...

    Parking at Spyderquest

No, SpyderQuest being a much smaller event I'm sure the town would prefer the revenue from the meters instead.

    Ever seen a Stallion ?

I demoed one at Daytona when they first came out. I found it uncomfortable to sit in, unwieldy, and ugly in the bargain. I seldom see one, and I've seen no advertising for them in recent years. I'd assumed production had stopped. If not, the slingshot will surely kill it off.

    Tip for cleaning/detailing

I had a discussion with my dealer about the matte finish, and he said that BRP cautions against using waxes with any abrasive, as they can turn the matte finish shiny. I'd stick with washing it with car wash soap and water, and using any good detail spray for touch ups.

    Fair price for rt622 trailer

Seems the RT622s are actually appreciating in value. I bought my first one in 2012, and at that time dealers were deeply discounting them and even offering to color match them to move them out of inventory. It's as good or better a trailer as any available, and you won't be sorry you bought...

    RT-622 Trailer Successfully Color Matched

I'm sorry, you're right about this calling for a photo, I was out riding and away from my computer until now, the weather is great here. Judge the color match for yourselves...

    RT-622 Trailer Successfully Color Matched

I just picked up my RT-622 trailer from the paint shop, and I'm pleased to see its a perfect match to my cognac RT-S. The color used was #B284 (alloy orange metallic). Blue Knight had asked the quantity and color of the paint. It required 1.5 quarts, and cost between $350 and $400. The total...

    Riding in rain

It poured on me from Virginia to North Carolina en route to Daytona, and I found the level of protection on my RT to be amazing. At Interstate speeds I barely got wet. Slow speeds and traffic are another matter. Slow it down, leave extra room between you and surrounding traffic, and avoid any...

    Ultimate seat choice

I have the Tall Boy, and as posted above, there are no problems with the seams. Be aware that they don't use plastic under the cover like stock seats, and heavy rain can seep into the foam through the stitching. You must use the provided rain cover in heavy downpours. The comfort factor is...

    Delay in starting procedure

If your "best advice" is a dismissive comment agreeing I should sell my bike you might consider silence for a change.

    Delay in starting procedure

More nonsense. I was hardly upset about the computer delay, just responding to the OP's post with my own observation and opinion. You remember opinions Bob? Those things everyone is entitled to express? Own your narcissism, to try to take cover behind "offering the best advice" is a cheap stunt.

    Delay in starting procedure

That's what I said, a simple observation on the quirks of the RT, completely on topic and offensive to none. I was immediately advised to sell my bike by two people, presumably because I'm not one of the anointed few here who feel they can make snarky comments whenever they disagree with the...

    Cleaning tips/help for this Newbie

One more vote for Plexus, it was designed for aircraft canopies and pretty much eliminates the need for waxing. Cycle Care products are also excellent. Good luck with your ride.

    Delay in starting procedure

Pirate, what you quoted wasn't my post, it was the OP's. My comments were several posts down from the OP. Did you advise me to sell my bike because I was bellyaching and not even know what it was you were responding to when you did it?

    Delay in starting procedure

Bob, I love my bike, and I guarantee I ride it further and more often than you do yours. Unless, of course, you have a laptop mounted on the handlebars. Now, if posts were miles, you'd win hands down.

Will you PLEASE stop whining! The bike is perfect, a guy with 59000 posts told me so. Maybe you shoul sell it.
