• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Yep, all valid. There are limitations to be sure and a lot of it will be rider preference. I do not have the GPS on my Spyder ST and wanted something sleeker in appearance than mounting a giant screen or strapping my phone to the bars. It does rely on the phone for GPS and location and should...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Hey all, I have been in the market to add GPS to the Spyder for the last year. I looked at figuring out a RAM mount for my phone, or a Garmin or whatever.. and then came across a interesting little product called a Beeline Moto. It's from the UK - I got mine in the mail a few days ago and...

Added Stock Cruise control to my base Spyder ST

Hey SL! Got lucky and found a Spyder ST-S being parted out on Ebay a few months ago and snagged the right-hand grip and switch assembly. The grip was kinda useless - it was heated, which is nice, but they cut the wire removing it and while I could replace that, having one heated grip seems...

HowTo: Video - Adding Stock Cruise Control to a base Spyder ST

Hey SL - Added Cruise Control to my Spyder (control swap from an ST-S) and captured a video as a bit of a how-to. Pre-amble for non-Spyder folks.. actual tutorial starts around the 3 minute mark.

    BRP/GIVI Top Case Mounting Plate

I have the original one that comes with the case and mounts to the backrest for sale - but not the one that directly mounts to the tail section.

60s in March?! Yes please! (Chance Spyder sighting)

Took the ST out today for its first true ride since I bought it in Jan. So far I’ve had it out every month (plan to complete the year with at least one ride every month). This was the first time I was able to just relax and enjoy the ride. Near the end of my loop I fell in with a pair of...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed the top case on my 2013 ST (video in the How To section)

Everybody says the 2013 ST runs so hot....

I am honestly curious to see how it does this summer (since I've only owned it a little over a month - so all my rides have been in ambient temperatures around 30-40 degrees). If it starts cooking me when the weather is nicer I'll document my attempts at some of the DIY fixes listed above, get...

HowTo: Video - Installing a Givi Monokey Topcase on a Sport Rack (2013 Spyder ST)

Hey SL! Completed my first "farkle" to the Spyder this weekend with the installation of a Givi Top Case. I captured some video along the way for a new VLOG that I'm starting. Primary topics of the VLOG will be Spyder information/maintenance/upgrades/cruises and DIY projects around the house...

Everybody says the 2013 ST runs so hot....

..but mine was nice and cold on my cruise today to target.. That might have had something to do with the 40 degree temps... couldn’t resist taking it out - got more than a few strange looks, hah. Almost like Minnesotans don’t expect to see motorcycles on the road in February.

    Spyders Throughout the Years

It’s tricky too because model years for cars, etc run on a modified fiscal year instead of a calendar year.. that’s why you can buy 2020 model year cars in late 2019. Most recreational vehicles are the same way. We once bought a travel trailer from Cherokee in April of 2015 that was...

    Spyders Throughout the Years

Idaho - It looks like the pictures for 2 and 6 were identical. Do you have the picture that should be in spot 2? The one that shows the second part of the 2010 model year?

    Spyders Throughout the Years

This is why I love you guys (and gals)! Thanks Idaho! That’s perfect! I’m pretty solid on the decommission dates.. they make a little sense when you step back and look at it from a market standpoint. It’s interesting how all the chaos of models in the middle years points pretty directly to...

    Spyders Throughout the Years

I think there might be some revisionist history out there too - found one BRP doc that claimed the GS was never a thing and the first model was the RS. It was somewhere in the 09/10 year they swapped it when the RT became a thing.. could have been a mid-model change? :dontknow:

    Spyders Throughout the Years

Hey SL! I've been trying to put together a model history (surprisingly difficult to do, lots of conflicting information out there). I think I have it now pretty solidly defined, please take a look and let me know if I missed anything (intentionally omitted color packages like the Dark edition)...

    Product review - visor pinlock

Agreed! Have a Shoei with a pin lock as well and will never go back. Only issue I have had is my pin lock insert is polarized a bit or at least reacts oddly with polarized sunglasses. Used in combination it makes a weird color shift that is off putting. Tinted visor solved that issue :)

    ST Passenger backrest trade?

Excellent! I like the sliding one I have, don’t know that anybody ever leaned a back against it, looks new.. just not compatible

    ST Passenger backrest trade?

Hey all, My 2013 ST has the adjustable sliding backrest. Looking to trade for the fixed position (219400350) backrest to allow me to use the top case I have my eyes on. Any takers?

    Brought home my Spyder today

I’m sure that’s on the Safety Card that I have carefully read each time I got onto a Spyder..
