• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1400 Miles later - EVERYBODY should ride Iron Mountain Highway in South Dakota

Next year.. I hope to make it out to the 3-wheel rally. Conflicts this year

1400 Miles later - EVERYBODY should ride Iron Mountain Highway in South Dakota

I'm a little jealous of your ability to just go hit those roads whenever you feel like it. Your local Can Am dealership in Rapid City was pretty sweet also and helped me out by breaking the welds on the screws holding the silencers in my Akrapovic muffler so I could remove them (which...

1400 Miles later - EVERYBODY should ride Iron Mountain Highway in South Dakota

Not far.. the North End is pretty much right at the East entrance to Mount Rushmore. We went from South to North and then continued up into Rapid City for the night.

1400 Miles later - EVERYBODY should ride Iron Mountain Highway in South Dakota

Hey all, Returned yesterday from a 1400 mile trip out to South Dakota and back. My Spyder ST was a rockstar, solid and amazing even with the 100+ degree weather. Ride partner is a die-hard 2-wheel guy but even he was a bit jealous of the third wheel on our return trip, which was brutal -...

HowTo: Step by Step - Oil Change on a Spyder ST/GS/RSS SM5

Hey All, Did an oil change on the Spyder this afternoon and in my research noticed that there were a lot of written directions and some pictures floating out there, but not a straight forward step-by-step DIY-style oil change video for the ST/GS/RSS SM5 (or if there is, I couldn't find it.. )...

HowTo: Install a BajaRon Swaybar on a 2013+ Spyder ST/RS/RSS

Got my Sway bar installed today - What a difference! So much more stable in the corners and just generally tracks nicer. The instructions with the sway bar from Lamonster Garage are very complete but also pretty technical.. so I put together a video that walks you through step by step.

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

Two afternoons? Biggest part of the time spent was figuring out where design and amateur talent intersected. I threw away a lot of material from being a bit over-ambitious at the start. I have a contact that does this professionally that warned me going in that they charge as much or more to...

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

“Final” version - made some adjustments to accommodate my skill level with the material. May add some Spyder logos back to it.. but I like it!

    Help identifying these plugs?

Under the front corner panels - my guess is fog lights? But there are two of them.. one with two wires (orange/green) and one with three wires (black/gray w orange stripe/gray w green stripe)

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

Biggest issue I'm anticipating is removing the rear quarter panels. I'm foolishly optimistic about the rest of it..

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

Thanks for the feedback! I'm a little obsessed with this design - with any luck I'll have pictures of the actual thing within the week. I have a buddy that rides with me that responded to me doing this with, before I could even show him the concept, "Please.. just.. don't put spider webs on it...

Concept Design - Spyder ST Facelift

Hey all It's winter in MN and despite having the Spyder on the road every month of 2020 it's been under cover for a few weeks and I'm getting twitchy. So, decided to go forward with a bit of aesthetic updates (currently black Spyder ST). This is my concept design - planning to use vinyl so I...

Late to the party - need saddlebags for 2013 ST?

If I remember correctly you will have to relocate the turn signals on the standard ST if you add the Givi saddlebags to it. The other option is the Corbin route which will go around the stock turn signals (but you'll pay about $2k for those)

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Just a check-in on this.. I have run about 600 miles using the Beeline on two long weekend rides through rural countryside in Minnesota and Wisconsin. My buddy was running a Garmin on his BMW and I was running this from my phone. Pros: Battery Life - didn't bring the charger and the battery...

Actual Fuel Capacity of a 2013 ST?

I appreciate all the feedback - I typically refill when it gets to the bottom fourth of the gauge and have seen it drop off faster below 3 bars but never to that degree. I’m usually averaging about 31mpg if the trip odo is accurate.. but my driving is rarely distance runs like this one and...

Actual Fuel Capacity of a 2013 ST?

Took the Spyder for a run this weekend and had a not-so-great experience with the fuel gauge. In the middle of the night in 45 degree weather the gauge went from 3 bars to 1 and fuel light in the span of about 10 miles. I rerouted to the nearest gas station which was another 12 miles...

    New to us 2013 ST S SM5.

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the heck out of your Spyder! I am nearing the end of my first year on a similar 2013 ST (also without the new body panels). I am rounding 2k miles on it and have never had an issue with the heat.. it seems to be specific spyder-dependent a bit. The panels inside my...
