• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Spyder & Polaris SlingShot / Side by Side - Mike Mas

BRP Spyder & Polaris SlingShot / Side by Side - Mike Mas Very nice write-up. Personally, I like the looks of the Slingshot, but agree with others that it is not a motorcycle. Not sure about other states, but in AZ the Slingshot is not even considered to be a motorcycle. It is officially an...

    Farkle Opportunities at Red Rock?

Highly recommend the cat delete, if only for the sound improvement and heat reduction on my 2012. Also seemed to have improved mileage and it "feels" more powerful, even if that is just in my head. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Farkle Opportunities at Red Rock?

Any thoughts on opportunities for farkling at Red Rocks? I know there will be various vendors on site and am looking for farkle ideas for the 2012 RT. Already done farkles: Floorboards, cat delete, bajaron swaybar and end links, GPS, voltage gauge replacement for analog gauges, rubber ducky...

Planning for Red Rocks and Hill Country

I post infrequently here, but read all the time. It will be great to put faces with the many people I have been reading here for years. See you at Red Rocks. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hidden Bass Setting?

That actually makes a lot of sense. I suspect you are correct, sir. Thank you. It has been bugging me not knowing. [emoji3]

    Hidden Bass Setting?

For anyone that didn't understand my earlier posts, here are two pictures. The first is the "normal" bass setting, the second is the "secret" setting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

has anyone taken their spyder out of hibernation?

No hibernation for my AZ spyder, with the possible exception of those 110+ degree summer days. [emoji16]

    Hidden Bass Setting?

Thanks Bob. That's sort of what I suspected, but a hidden option like that always makes me wonder if it might really have some function that I just haven't figured out. [emoji15]

    Hidden Bass Setting?

I'm really talking about the fact that there are two sets of options for audio bass. One noticeably changes the sound, but the "secret" bass menu seems to do nothing.

    Hidden Bass Setting?

[emoji3] I'm bad that way. Sadly, I have no idea what the setting really does. Lots of options on the list though. [emoji15]

    Hidden Bass Setting?

Does anyone know what the "secret" setting does in preferences when you select audio and then press up? It still shows as being the bass setting, but the option list changes. Can't find anything in the owners manual about it and my searchs on the forum didn't yield results. Are there really two...

    Can Am reliability rating

Isn't a motorcycle designation used for two or three wheels? A Spyder certainly isn't a "motorbike", since the "bike" refers to two wheels. The vehicle designation on my states Spyder title is definitely motorcycle. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Helmet Storage Question

For me, the AZ heat and low humidity seems to dry out the helmet within a few minutes of taking it off my head. ( but it's a DRY heat ). You are correct about the heat of the garage though. No plans to leave my helmet out there. We are planning to insulate the garage, but that will only help a...

    Helmet Storage Question

[emoji1] I try not to put on a 110+ degree helmet, although it has happened a couple times. I ride early in the morning in the summertime when it's much cooler in the desert, but then the Spyder gets parked and sits outside baking throughout the rest of the day in the higher heat until the next...

    Helmet Storage Question

This may have already been asked, but I haven't been able to find anything. Is it safe to store your helmet in the Spyders frunk when air temperatures are in the 115-120 Fahrenheit range or will the high temperatures weaken the helmet's structure over time? It's very convenient to just put...

    why ride a spyder

The short answer is "I need training wheels since I'm just a youngster." [emoji1] The shorter answer is "It's what I like." Folks on Harleys always tend to ask why not a Harley trike. The honest answer is that when I'm on a conventional trike, all my senses tell me it's two wheeled and my...
