• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bike back on the road

Not my dealer You asked a question and then got several answers that you apparently disagree with . Not one other person has posted about the same problem of "cheap" shifters . Why would you continue to disregard the opinions of others that all agreed that the problem was installation and not...

Missing---Joke Forum, so I'll just start a thread.

Couple of clean ones While I sat in the reception area of my doctor's office, a woman rolled an elderly man in a wheelchair into the room. As she went to the receptionist's desk, the man sat there, alone and silent. Just as I was thinking I should make small talk with him, a little boy...

    Wish me luck !!

Test Went thru the school and testing many , many years ago and wasn't fun then and bet it hasn't changed. Loved the wording on some of the questions and the possibility that 3 of 4 answers are "partially " correct but only one is totally correct. Good luck , don't try to outguess . After...

A bit more respect for Tupperware!?

No heat....2011 RTS I have to agree with Bob , I have never experienced the heat problems a lot seem to have. I installed spyderpops grill cover not to help cool but to look cool. I ride quite often with shorts....I know , bad me ......but even then I don't have a problem with heat from the...

    Spyders Across the Straits.

Bridge Just crossed the bridge last Saturday and WOW was it fun. We had two-two wheelers ,my spyder and a wing trike.Didn't think they were going to allow us to cross because of high wind conditions. Had just rained a bit and had to ride the grated part most of the way. According to the...

    Battery woes

Battery problem I had this problem with my bike from day one. Went thru 3 batteries in less than two years . Last battery lost charge in less than two weeks after install. Grounds were all tight as were other connections. Problem was intermittent and impossible to find .Finally had enough and...

    Thermal event

vapor smell So glad you are ok , it could have been a lot worse .Your location sure seemed to be in your favor at the time and you obviously were a quick thinker. As an ex fireman ,One thing I have to say though and this is to all owners , if there's a fire ...get away and let it burn. There is...

240mi Round trip for 600mi service.

Bad setups Just think of how many problems you might have if it wasn't for the wealth of knowledge gained from SL . Hearing " that's normal " don't hold water anymore when you have facts and info from other forum users. This forum is the best thing that ever happened to me since purchasing my...

Is SE5 filter accessible/changable from new quick change side panel?

Not to hijack thread I have recently talked to two riders that purchased 2012s ( new ) within the last couple of months and neither have had the new quick change panels installed. Shouldn't one think that any new bikes would already have them installed before being sold by now ?

    Change the Battery

Battery There should be instructions in the manual , at least there is on my 2011. Without instructions telling what all has to be removed you're gonna be sort of screwed. I don't know if it was 2012 they changed the location or not. If it's still in the same place , there are panels to be...

    RTS audio system

Hate to admit this but somehow I have misplaced ( lost ) part of the extra paperwork that BRP furnishes when you have the communications package installed . I have all the paperwork on the cb portion but nothing on setting up the passenger portion. I've developed radio problems again and without...

    Bike will not start

Tender use Another dead horse here.................if the bike charging system is operating correctly there is absolutely no reason to have to keep it on a tender all the time . Granted if it's going to sit for awhile or just taking short trips , the tender helps keep the battery charged. I...

    MPG break-in

Different mpgs Your mpg is really going to vary depending on riding conditions and will eventually get around 30 + or (-) . I never use my cruise under 65 and that seems to make a difference and actually is better not using cruise but not by much.At 50mph you should still be in 4th gear at the...

Alert to Texas (and other states) Spyder Lovers

Texas justice This sucks big time . Wonder what's in the thiefs background to "cause" them to do this ? Must have had bad parenting ??? Need to watch ebay or craigslist for spyder parts. They won't be able to start or sell the spyder whole so they'll have to part it out. Hopefully someone from...

    Jim and Kris'...

GWRRA The package from GWRRA is really great . Not only will it cover your bike but any vehicle you're using at the time. Go for the towbuster plus. They respond no matter what the call is for unlike some others. I've been aWRRA member for years and now you don't have to own a wing.I've used it...

    exhausted

Takes time and miles It's going to take a lot of miles to get used to the spyder. You have to learn to trust the machine to do what it's made to do. Like others above said it's apprehension and you're putting a lot of tension on body parts you aren't used to using .You have to totally forget...

Power Washed the Spyder and ......

Rain and then some more Coming home from Va. we got caught in one of those downpours and like you said , visibility was zero and ponding was a major problem along with passing vehicles roostertailing us. Had raingear on but still got pretty soaked , couldn't go more than about 10mph and wasn't...
