• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I hear ya hog! First the no downshifting n crap radio and now mine is doing the park brake fail also! Had to get the wrench out the other day. Not 4000mi yet! Hope it all gets settled cause it's still a hoot to ride and comfortable to boot!

    Parking Brake

    Just read another thread on this and looks like switch and/or cable motor are culprits. Now to get my dealer to order parts without having my bike sit there for a month....:pray:

    My 18 RT has started the parking brake gremlin now also. Sometimes won't set,sometimes won't release. I am releasing it manually with a 12mm wrench when I have to. No apparent rhyme or reason! Has anyone had this issue solved? What was the root problem?

    The wife is a bit,um,vertically challenged at 4'10" and gets on the drivers seat first then scoots back. Removing the backrest and stowing it when 2 up sounds like the answer! Thanks!

    I have an 18 RTL and tho the "ride hieght" may be automatic adding air to the valve stiffens the ride noticeably. If you are bottoming out on bumps add air pressure.I equate this valve with turning a standard shock up or down a notch. Be careful adding air,it doesn't take much to increase...

    Falcon,the air valve under the seat is a shock pre-load.Compare it to twisting a shock spring up or down a notch.Take it down to 40,ride it,take it up to 60 and ride.The stiffer ride at higher pressure is easy to feel.I run 40 when 1up at 170lbs and 50-55 when 2up,an additional 105lbs or so.I...

    Read a lot of reviews on backrests and I see that some fold forward to ease access to passenger seat. My question is- do any of them slide out of the slot and go back in with no tools ? I ask because my wife likes to get on the RT on the drivers seat and then scooch back. Thanx!

    There is the schroeder valve under the seat to set preload.I notice the rear end comes up when you add air but don't know if it stays there.

    I have the tackform but be aware it does not currently work on rt. It comes with a handlebar mount so if you don't have exposed bar it won't mount.
