• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

From the BRP website to purchase an adjustable backrest it lists: Compatibility Spyder RT 2014 and up, RT 2013 and prior with 2014 and up production seats

    brp back rest fitting

I do not believe the BRP backrest will work with the 2013 and prior seat. You can get an aftermarket backrest, Utopia for example.

Where can I put my Gate Pass - Bar Code Sticker? Around my neck?

I have not purchased this yet, but have been considering "Locking Permit Pay & Display Holders" for my parking receipts at the centralized pay stations in towns I visit. It may work for your needs. Something to consider. Lin http://www.loginparking.com/holders.html

    Best aftermarket seat

I was very close to ordering a Russel Day Long, but hated to spend that much for something site unseen. Living in NH, I plan on stopping by Mustang Seats near Springfield MA to look at there products.

    ADDING A VENT TO WINDSHIELD

I do not know specifically about adding a vent, but, I have cut material from one of my windshields. I have a California Scientific windshield that I wanted to shorten a bit. I masked off the top portion with masking tape, marked it and cut it with a jigsaw. Then I sanded down the edges. An...

Are Spyders allowed on the Amtrak Auto Train?

I just looked at the Auto Train web site. https://www.amtrak.com/route-content/auto-train-boarding-and-vehicle-requirements.html "Can-Am motorcycles, Rewaco trikes and Polaris Slingshots will not be accepted." There are other shipping options.

bead seat or padded seat for RT

I have tried several versions. I started with a Butt Buffer gel cushion. It was returned immediately. I then fabricated wooden beads from an old set of automobile beads. I went with that for a while but then added a sheepskin on top of that. My wife still uses that combo as the passenger...

Does anyone have experience with the Ultimate Trailer?

I am actually conflicted about my opinion for this trailer. I do like the way it loads and unloads since there are no ramps to contend with. I like the way it tows. It tracks behind my truck effortlessly and the air suspension absorbs the shocks and jolts of the road. However, I have had...

    Montreal and the East Coast

This sounds like a great road trip. I like the suggestion to shoot over to Quebec City. I have just started looking into taking a ride there this year myself. That would make a good way to get to Acadia National Park. From there, head down the coast and there are a number of nice towns to...

    Longhorn LED mirror install pictures.

I stand corrected after seeing them again. By moving the installation point further towards the back, they would be visible from the driver's position. Part of the reason I bought them, was to have a secondary light for the turn indicator in addition to the dash. We all know the dash...

    Longhorn LED mirror install pictures.

Pictures of mine installed Photos 3 & 4 were taken at face level while I sat on the bike. Photo 1 is the right hand end and photo 2 is from underneath. So if I were to do this again, I'd move the led's a bit closer to the back of the bike. I hope this helps. Lin

    Longhorn LED mirror install pictures.

I remember I followed the instructions for placement and put them to the front side of the seam. I would reevaluate that if I were to do that again, as I would prefer to see more of them from the driver's position. They are just beyond the edge of my vision except for the inner ends. I'll...
