• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking at Buying, what to ask/get done/include?

Hi Bill, While I haven't seen MONK'S 2021 RT, he has been nice enough to answer my questions on some of his extensive list of highly desirable and functional upgrades to his Spyder. I purchased a 2021 RLT Dark last March for not too much more that the $24,999 that your dealer is asking for...

Will these 155/60R15 Vredestein's be too narrow for RT?

They may be a bit on the narrow side as the closest to stock (in the new Quatracs) is the 165/60-R15...but if the price is right I would think that they would work fine. One thing I would check though is to see if they are wide enough to give the outer face of the rim some curb scuff...

Might just try a snow tire ...

Hey Troop, Interesting looking tire that comes with pretty good reviews. It is definitely listed as a winter tire and with the directional tread design and lots of drainage sipes. It looks like it may be a good choice for the rear tire of the Spyder and like it would be an excellent tire for...

Which Vredestein - Quatrac or Quatrac 5?

I have both varieties of the Vredestein tires that Ron posted pictures of in the previous post. I put a set of the Quatrac 5 tires (fronts and rear) on my 2009 GS. Noticed a big improvement in the ride and handling seems crisper as well. Not enough miles to see how they wear over time but...

Another trailer question - could a 2018 RT Ltd ride up onto this?

Hi Greg, I have a single axle, 6 1/2 ft wide by 10 ft long trailer with a very similar full width tailgate/ramp on the rear. It has has 15 inch tires, but a 2500 lb axle. I have had this trailer for 25 years for hauling primarily lawn mowers, but also ATVs, motorcycles, and yes, one of my...

What do you think - will changing rear tire AND bearings allow balancing?

I have changed the rear tire twice on my 2009 Spyder GS. First replacement was the Yokahoma S-Drive and the second was the Vredestein Quatrac 5. The Quatrac is better suited for year round use in the midwest as it is a winter rated tire, while the Yokahoma was a warm climate rated sports car...
