• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried TricLed's Afterburner tail light for 2020+ RTL?

Auxilliary Lighting Those TricLED Afterburners look great to me and the 20+RT's can use more light on the rear to catch other drivers attention, especially in the rain or drizzle. I followed my 2021RTL as my son was driving it home in a gloomy, on and off wet day and the first thoughts I had...

What's the best Can Am Spyder lift?

After over a four month wait, I just received my new J&S Jack yesterday. It is well made, solid, and Made In USA...but it's not cheap, and the wait time was loooong. Note that I have a steel Harbor Freight jack that I paid $30 in cash from a local pawn shop 3 years ago, and I have used that...

What's the best belt tensioner? What are you using?

I just received the Lamonster Garage IPS Belt Tensioner Arm/Roller for the 2014-2022 F3 and RT Spyders yesterday. It has the machined aluminum arm with the sealed ball bearing pivot, a solid and stable mounting bracket, and the larger diameter roller with dual ball bearings. It will replace...

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Hi Rich, Let us know which way you go for the windshield on your new F3S. Note that the used F3S Repo bike that I tested and bid on had a huge F4 Customs windscreen. It worked reasonably well, but was so big it that it looked out of place on the F3S. It had fairly good wind protection, but...

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Hi Rich, Congratulations and I think you made a great choice based on your initial thoughts. The F3S is quick and loads of fun. I would like to have one to compliment my 2021RTL for shorter, sportier rides. It is a LOT quicker and sportier than my RTL and handles pretty good stock. A Baja...

    MADSTAD Innovations !

i installed the 22inch Madstad screen and adjustable brackets on my 2009 Spyder GS 3-4 years ago. This was BY FAR the best upgrade that I have made, and I have made quite a few on the 2009 GS. The stock screen did not work well at all for me and my six foot height. It offered very little wind...

The Spyder “Road warriors” makes a difference!

Thanks for posting this information and the video link Wmoater! Excellent. I was introduced first hand to the CanAm Spyders by my son's purchase of a 2009 GS 7 years ago. He wears a prosthetic leg and the Spyder allowed him the ability to ride over the road in comfort and relative safety...

New Guy on Left Coast - looking at buying a Ryker or maybe Spyder, but which model?

Hi Rich, You should share some pictures of your classic road racing bikes. That sounds really cool!! My brother used to be serious into motorcycle hillclimbing but now runs a hillclimb and occasionally build a custom, nearly hand made hillclimb bike by lengthening and stretching, with custom...

    Does this tire look bad

Posted by gkamer "Does this tire look like it needs to be replaced?" Yes it does! Stock Kenda rear tires wear MUCH more quickly in the center, while the edges have little to no wear. I have seen this on the 2009 GS and now, with the stock Kenda on my 1 year old, 8000 mile 2021 RTL that show...

how long will the drive belt last?

I had the drive belt fail at approximately 22,000 miles on the 09 Spyder GS when it was ten years old. It didn't break, and didn't have rock damage, even though it had seen some time on a gravel road that I live on. Rather, several section of the individual "teeth" were cracking loose from the...

    Mesh jacket recommendations

Last year I was fortunate enough to buy a Motoport https://www.motoport.com/shop/ full suit in Kevlar Air Mesh from one of the members here who had to quit riding due to back and neck issues that were aggravated by riding. This was a custom- made, custom-fitted suit for him but after verifying...

How do you Glasses wearers manage with Helmet & Glasses?

Hi all, I am mid 60s and have worn glasses for 60 years. Never contacts and no intention to go there. For the last 15+ years, I have worn progressives as I the top half if for near sighted distance correction, while the bottom of the lens is for intermediate and near vision. I don't/can't...

    My Altimax experience.

Or get the 4-Channel version to monitor the three individual tires AND the air bag if you have the air bag rear suspension supplement. That way you can follow what the auto leveling suspension is doing as well as the tires.

Which one of these RT's to choose?? Choice now made - Deal Done!

Hi Stephanie, I am a two-wheel motorcyclist at heart and still have a pair of older Ductati Multstrada sport tourers...and a big KTM dirt single for gravel road fun. But I also have a 2009 Spyder RS/GS and a year ago I purchased a new 2021 Spyder RTL. I have had the 09 RS/GS for 5-6 years and...

What's everyone wearing for Riding Jackets?

I bought an Aerostich Roadcrafter, 2-piece suit in High Vis 11-12 years ago. I was fitted in their shop in Duluth, MN and the suit fit perfectly when it arrived. Also bought a couple of pair of their Elkskin Roper Gloves while their and am still wearing them as well. The suit is bug...

RT-L vs F3-L wind protection question

Hi Mikecronis, I currently have a 2021RTL and also a 2009RS/GS. I have also put several hundred miles on a F3-S and also a test ride on a 2021 F3 Limited...before buying the 2021 RTL. 2021 RTL has great wind protection, stock, for the rider and passenger for both upper and lower body and also...

Are the Sway bars on the 2022 still crap?

The upgraded front shock, provided they are dampened properly and sprung properly for the load and the riding needs and riding style should offer an improvement across the board, from a better ride to better control of the Spyder in a variety of operating conditions. A big plus for the...

Are the Sway bars on the 2022 still crap?

Handling of the Spyders is relative. My 2021 RTL handles fairly well right off of the showroom floor. Vastly better than the 2009 RS/GS that my son bought in the Minnesota. The 2009 was twitch, darted around...a lot, on less than perfect two lane rural chip and seal roads, but was still fun...

Know of any 'slip-on' Seat Covers for RT's?

https://alaskaleather.com/collections/sheepskin-buttpads/products/multistrada-sheepskin-buttpad I have an Alaskaleather buttpad that I bought years ago for my Ducati 620 and 1100 air cooled Multistradas. Has served me well on two bikes, still works great, and was bought used from a fellow...
