• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My report on the Bajaron sway bar...

sway bar installation You really do not need to lift the spyder up 24 inches to remove and install the new bar. I used a floor jack and raised the wheels up about 6 inches and put jack stands under them. There was plenty of room under the main frame for me to work. The link bolts are easy to...

Lost my key yesterday. Where and how do I store an extra key on my RT

Hiding a spare key The right or left speaker grills on the RT can easily be removed without tools. There is plenty of spaces there to secure (hide) a spare key.

weather update How fast things change. Now not such a good forecast. I will plan to meet you in Clear Lake. There is a good gas station and restaruant right on Hwy 10 at the Clearwater exit/stop light, Northeast side. My guess is that you should make it there by 11 am. Road work on 23 but...

Tonight I install my first Farkle!

Arm rests You did a nice job. The are rests look good. I also see a seat belt for the rear passenger. Mixed thoughts on that. Wife might like these arm rests if they do not interfere with mount and dismount activity.

Minnesota Ryde Paula; We will be there. Les finished installing my new rear tire and doing the 9000 miles oil change. Since you are heading out my way just let me know the route and approximate departure time. Since there are a few of us west of the twin cities we might be able to group up...

    Slight "surging" feeling

Bike surge Just a thought, the surge is most likely due to ECU but could also be from a vacuum leak. When my 2011 RT-s first did it I never gave it a second thought. A few hundred miles later it began to surge right after start up and soon it would surge and then almost die. About 8 months...

One of the main differences between 2013 and other models

hot under the seat I don't have a 2013 but a 2011 RT-s. In the very hot weather this summer it became uncomfortable with all the heat venting out from under the seat onto my upper legs. I too thought about some way to install vents behind my legs in the upper portion of the TW. This would...

    Plugging a tire

tire plug update Thanks to all who responded. I believe I will have the tire replaced. Here is an interesting question. Many spoke about Ride-on and some additional thoughts on Ride-on. If Ride-on would have sealed the puncture then I would not have been aware of the damage because the tire...

    Plugging a tire

Finished a nice 300+ mile ride with some of the Minnesota spyders on Saturday. I had to head home so did not attend the dinner. Ran into some rough weather that last 40 miles. The spyder handled the wind and rain OK but something was just not right. This morning when I went out to clean up...

Smoothspyder belt tensioner vs Baker belt stabilizer

smooth spyder I had the smooth spyder on my 2008 GS. I believe it made a great improvement. How do I know. When I took the bike in for replacement of the rear brake pads which were always squealing the dealer/tech had never seen one and so he took it off thinking it was not to be there...

    Almost bought it!

Bad drivers Many many years ago when MN first required MC endorsements on our DL the instructor for the classroom portion started the class with a short film of various motorcycle races and stunts. There were a lot of oohs and aahs as bikes and bikers took spills and multiple crashes. The...

    BajaRon Sway Bar Video

Sway Bar Everything positive everybody said about the handling with the new bar is probably correct. I have not tried any aggressive rying yet. Just letting the eyes heal after the surgery. I can say that I noticed a major improvement with the bar when ryding the 2 lane highways around home...

Jaguars burn to. Jags 1 Spyders 2

Old jaguars and other Brit cars In our BMC club were many MG's, Austin's, Jag's, Triumph's and assorted other cars that all used Lucas electric components. We had Tee shirts made with the logo. "Lucas, prince of darkness".

    Rough idle

rough running Check the two small vacuum hoses that connect to the TB's. Both of mine were badly cracked and at idle it was almost impossible to keep it running. When one finely broke completely it caused a code and able to find the cause. All the heat underneath the TW does affect the...

    Sway bar Baja Ron

Sway bar and links Finished my installation Thursday night. Just a short ryde after, as I had cataract surgery the day before and was told no driving for 3 days. Everything went well. Most difficult part was trying to get the upper link bolts into the frame hole with only one eye. Lifted the...
