• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MadStad or CHAD: Has the jury reached a verdictd?

Thanks for the responses. I'm leaning toward the MadStad for reasons mentioned ... especially for the ability to use different shields. But couldn't you do the same with the CHAD adjuster??? Lamont ... Didn't you have a CHAD? Is that a MadStad in your picture ...? They say a picture is...

    North Carolina Spyders

SN #38 here in Statesville. I put together the first NC ride in '08. We had a good turnout but I never followed up hoping someone else would pick up on it. Sounds like patches may be our man! There are some great roads north of Greensboro over to Mt Airy in case we want to make the ride in...

    F1 Mantis Fairing ?

I don't post much. Also, for the sake of peace and tranquility ( :hun: ) - I try to stay away from threads of this nature. However, ... after lurking for quite some time on this thread  and, after watching the sad history of Marcel July on this and other forums (not limited to the...

CHAD Windshield - Helmet Buffeting - HELP!

I'm 5'11" but long torso (29" inseam). 4" risers. I can lean into the shield and things quiet down. If I lean down and into the shield far enough, it's like a cocoon of silence. Sure wish I could get it to work like that sitting in my normal position. Thanks for the "laminar lip"...

CHAD Windshield - Helmet Buffeting - HELP!

Who has experienced it and what did you do about it? Under about 50 all is usually calm. At 65 plus I get bad buffeting and it gets worse the faster I go and if the air is dirty (heavy trucks, cross winds, etc.) I've tried different positions and all the way up and forward is the best but...

    AC for the Spyder?

My mesh jacket doesn't seem to work as well when the temp is in the 90's with humidity levels that match! The heating idea is also interesting but I wonder how well the unit will work in low humidity levels in very cold weather? Air conditioning for motdorcycles - who would've thunk?:hun: I...

    AC for the Spyder?

I know it's a little cold to be talking about air conditioning but this thing puts out heat also!! Don't know if it will ever hit the streets but it is an interesting concept. Whadayathink? Air conditioning for your motorcycle (or .... Spyder!!) http://www.entrosys.com

    NEXX in LINE

Excellent helmet. Love the fact that you can use it as a 3/4 helmet around town. It won't try to take your head off at speed like the other modular helmets do if you ride with them opened. Unfortunately I will probably sell mine. You need a round head. If a Shoei fits you well, then the...

Chicago April 26-27 .. Which Route Home?

Thanks, Bill. I'm doing the Southern Indiana/ Kentucky route on the way up!! Sounds like you might be confirming the Mississippi route! At this point I think I'm going to shy away from the northeast trip because of the higher possibility of inclement weather.. Thanks, Sam

Chicago April 26-27 .. Which Route Home?

That's not a bad idea. I could explore the river roads to southern MO then head to the Ozarks and NW Arkansas and back to MS to my old home in Vicksburg! If I don't or can't put the N.E. trip together, I think The River tour will be my alternate. THANKS.

Chicago April 26-27 .. Which Route Home?

Hadn't thought about that.. I'm going to find someone/somewhere on the outskirts to park the Spyder and take a cab. Thanks for the thoughts .. The portion of the SW trip through IL, NE and northern MO don't excite me. I really want to do the New England thing if at all possible. I...
