• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Amazing what owning a Spyder will get you to do.

LOL, as I was washing mine, my wife says " while you have the hose out, clean my suv , its really dirty and then clean the house windows" . I went for a ride and did none of what she said! I am getting older and forget things sometimes. wink, wink.

    New Hip

I own a Home Inspection company and was doing home inspections 4 weeks after total knee replacement. and was riding my Spyder F3 T at week 2. The key is doing the rehab like it's her mission in life. My brother just had total hip replacement this morning and he did 3 rehab sessions today. The...

    Planning short road trip

Ground floor, park under a street light as close to room as you can. I just did about 1300 miles in 3 days stayed at a few Comfort Inn's , worked well.

Riding in tight formation at 75+ MPH.

Stupid! I won't ride in groups at all. It seems to me that the larger the group the fewer the brains and everyone becomes an 8th grader. I don't need to prove anything to anyone. I once saw a large group in California of about 100 bikes in a 2x2 line. There was an idiot that decided to do a...

I think this story is so true for many Spyder riders. Glad you are liking it.

    First 10,000 mile review. (sweet-n-simple)

Nice to see a good review. I just wish I had more time to ride the darn thing. 3000 miles in 1 year. Hope you continue to enjoy it.

I've seen a number of these for sale

I picked up my 16 F3T as a left over and got a great price, it was new still in crate. This is the 4th bike I have bought as a previous model year left over.

    Vibration Damper Roll Call

It's a quality piece but have not had a chance to ride since I put it on 3 weeks ago. It's been to darn hot and once I get home from a 14 hr day in 117 degree heat all I want to do is have a beer. Hope to ride in the next few weeks if work and weather allow.

    F3T Belt Vibration

contact Doc, he has a damper , easy to install. Don't buy the BRP unit as those appear to be failing after several thousand miles.

How old is too old to get started riding a Spyder

Welcome. If you like riding and being in the wind then get it and don't look back. It's a very easy bike to ride and once you get past the initial quirks of the 3 wheeler its very easy. Good luck in your decision, you might look at year end 2017 models when the 2018 are out. You might find...

    Mine is starting to go!!!

As a result of this thread I checked my BRP device. After 2400 miles mine is about done. Seems to have a wobble and the roller is not rolling so good. I have removed and ordered Doc's device. It certainly looks like a better engineered item , should work well.

    Washable oil filter

I always change my bike oil and filters at about 3000 miles max. I would have concerns that a washable filter not be cleaned properly after several oil changes and allowing dirt etc to float around the engine. I have seen the washable , re usable air filter for home hvac almost completely...

Anyone used an Oil change pump thru dip-stick?

I have a air driven industrial vac pump for my Mercedes Twin Turbo Charged diesel. There is no drain plug and the dealers use this vac to change the oil, works well. The oil change on the Spyder is so easy , not sure I would mess with the pump.

Trade Up/In - Your Opinions, Please!

I came from the Kaw Concours 1400 sport bike , the Yamaha Tenere Adventure bike and the Suzuki M109. As I get older my knees were having a hard time with the riding position so the M109 was very comy. The past 2 years I was less confident with an 800 lb 2 wheeler due to bad knees and bad...

    Power Commander V for F3

I tried a Power Commander V on a Yamaha Tenere. What a mistake. I was constantly trying to get this thing to work the right way. It was installed by a Yamaha dealer but just never worked well.
