• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fairly long road trip in May

Thanks, I will check Cty Rd 113 that starts on the south side of Itasca at Hwy 71 and heads west out as I will have plenty of time. I really appreciate the feedback. Do you live up north?

Fairly long road trip in May

Thanks for all the feedback. Yes the North Shore is my favorite part of the world and we usually go to Betty's Pies. But I will look for Amazing Graze as a place to eat. My summer place is about 90 miles west of Duluth in Mosquito country, though last year they weren't bad, though my wife...

    Keeping Warm

Thanks, I was surprised by the change in technology and it is just easy to use. One other driver for me is that I have a friend who drives about 100 miles round trip every day on his Yamaha in Northern Virginia and he is always having issues on whether to have heat or more lighting on his bike...

    Keeping Warm

They do not carry the Spyder RT but some of the other Can Am Motorcycles. They had a minimal amount of the heated gear in the store, but they are absolutely great about ordering it for you and if you don't want it no questions asked or hassles. They really try to work with you to get what you...

Anyone using Rain/storage covers? Which covers?

I wish I had read all the way to the bottom as I just ordered the Nelson-Rigg Can-Am RS Spyder Half Cover for touring with my 2020 Spyder RTL. I have the full cover for home, I will have to clear out the garage by next winter and move the snowblower out to make room for the Spyder.

    Keeping Warm

This is not an endorsement, I just want to pass on what I have learned. On my 2012 Spyder RT I had Gerbing clothing wired to the battery. When I sold it and during an intervening motorcycle break I gave the gear away to a college neighbor kid in need. Now that I bought the 2020 Spyder RT I...

Tally Thread: I purchased a new 2020 RT.

2020 Petrol Blue Spyder RT Limited purchased in February from MotoMember in Purcellville, VA. Great dealer, will upload pictures when I can get it to work. Also, purchased a Freedom Trailer just waiting for the hitch and comfort seats hopefully in mid March.

    2020 RT first impressions

I took out the 2020 Spyder RT Limited with my wife yesterday, first 2 up ride since I got it. Road well, but just like the 2012 I had I will be upgrading the sway bars. Riding alone I was satisfied but with both of us on twisty mountain roads I think the new sway bars will be better. For the...

    New garmin map update

I tried 3 times to get the update to work. In the end I followed the recommendations on the website to remove my device from Garmin express, then delete Garmin express from my computer, restart the computer, re-install Garmin express, add my Zumo again, and then update. It worked.

    Miles/Gallon on the 2020 RTL

I put my first premium gas in today on the 2020 Spyder RTL. It was about 30 mpg. 80% of the time it was 1 up. Not sure how much that matters. Also, I kept it in the economy mode (or whatever it is called) as I am just breaking it in.

2020 Spyder Body Panel Fix (Warranty Bulletin)

On my 2020 Spyder RT Limited the noticeable issue is where the rubber that is supposed to cover where the back of the passenger handle goes into the plastic and is not a good fit. Compared to the issues I had with my 2012 Spyder RT, this is nothing and I am happy to get out riding rather than...

New 2020 Spyder LT Limited brought home today

Did you get the Spyder? This is my second one, first was 2012, and this is way better. I also had a couple of Goldwings and other bikes but my short inseam made it a challenge to hold up a fully loaded bike with passenger.

Fairly long road trip in May

Thanks, good points. I was thinking of looking for a battery powered air pump after watching the YouTube of a guy with a flat on Forty Times around. It took him forever to hand pump a tire after a flat.

Fairly long road trip in May

Well in college I worked as a guide in Quetico Provincial Park in the late 60’s, I love the canoe country. But then I left MN after college. We now have a summer place about 90 miles west of Duluth. But the North Shore of Lake Superior is about my favorite place in the world. I am glad you got...

Thanks, I will take a look at that route. I also like to avoid tornados if possible, on a goldwing trip in Ohio I was too close for comfort.
