• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster / Baldwin Iron Works cat delete - baffle or not?

I didn't wory about back pressure because I don't rev high enough for long enough for that to matter. Noise is something I don't care for, particlarly on long rydes so I kept that part intact and let the standard muffler burble a little more. I recently finished a Black Dog Ride to Red Centre...

    Is BRP GO useful?

Tried it and found it useless when compared to my mobile phone attached to the handlebars and plugged into a cable running from the little front glove compartment. I hope I didn't pay too much for That waste when purchasing the 2020 Ltd new.

My 2022 Spyder F3T missing air suspension...

No idea Pete. It all works so I have never questioned it until reading this post. Yes, I went out and removed the rear seat. There is a bracket with a hole (as in the photo somebody else has posted) that I'm guessing would be for the valve. I've experienced no bottoming out and sometimes hear...

My 2022 Spyder F3T missing air suspension...

My 2020 F3Ltd doesn't have that valve either. However, I can hear the rear suspension self adjust from time to time, depending on weight on and off the rear seat.

Gear selector frequently won't manually change on F3 - ideas?

Left hand switch block is the likely source of your distress. There were non available 'in the world' when mine began misbehaving, at three monts of age, so I liberaly squited LANOX (Lanoline based fiser of everything) during the about five months of waiting for a replacement.

    Kenda Kanine K20 availability

I suppolse that Kendas being fitted to all new Spyders and then mostly replaced with Kendas when needed by most ryders would been taken out of your calculations?

***** What Tires are on YOUR Spyder - Details Please *****

2020 F3Ltd, Rabbit (Sydney) sway bar. Third set of Kendas fitted yesterday, early because of a long three week ryde coming up. Mixed riding, vigorous 75%, local and freeway 25%. Fronts 17PSI and over 30k Km between changes. Rear 22-24 PSi with 20k km between changes. For two-up ryding the rear...

Well done NorweagianRT. Enjoyed every mile.

    Tire pressures in hot weather

My basic Kends perform a little differently to your advice, Blueknight. Fronts at 17 PSI cold give me 30+K km. Rear at 22 PSI cold gives me 20+K km. Not arguing with you, just stating my facts with about 70K+ experience, the last 50K km mostly in the hills, with vigour. Present ryde is 2020...

    Brake lights with key off

No problem. Brake lights come on regardless of where the key is. Ignition on not needed.

Cruise control issues on 2021 RT - not working; anyone else?

All that is needed is some strong opposition from another similar vehicle c company that actually cares and looks after its customers. Unbelievable that Can-Am are not aware of the ongoing problems that recur year after year.

Foot brake - comments sought from taller Ryders

Ryding a 2020 F3Ltd at the moment. Getting used to not having a front break handle took me quite some months. My bod is a bit over 6' so the brake pedal is at its furthest setting. I've kept away from a wider pedal because occasionally my foot catches the the side/under the standard pedal...

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

My 2020 F3L most dangerous move was adjusting cruise control, without looking down, and hitting Stop at freeway speed. Quite a heart starter, easily fixed by moving the useless Stop button to somewhere safer. The radio with its multiple controls is an easy delete for me.

Are bump skids worth the money??

Not to me Idaho. Best not to knock something before you have some real facts, hey! SLiPLO is working for us on two cars as well as the Spyder. For those who drive over curbs and things that are obviously likely to do damage ... good luck.

Are bump skids worth the money??

I use SLiPLO stick on strips/pads. My front scraped on something on most of my rydes until I realised that the pre-load had never been set. 3 clear threads of pre-load from the bottom stopped almost all of my scrapings. I'm about to make that 4 threads clear threads to stiffen up my cornering a...

Firm to tight with a little thread lock for luck.

F3 Parking Brake sometimes won't disengage - any ideas?

Keeping the terminals tight is necessary, but only after both posts and terminals have been cleaned properly. Emery paper does it best for me. Make sure the contact areas are free of gunk/lube etc. metal to metal contact is best.

    Motor started running poor

Great result Buckskin. Bad gas from a service station is unusual and generally blamed for something quite simple .... water in the fuel.

    Tire pressure recommendations

16-17 front and 22-23 rear PSI resulted for my F3Ltd in 20k km rear tyre replacedment with tyre worn pretty flat across and not quite down to the wear depth markers. Fronts replaced at 30k km and not quite down to the depth markers. Replacements were for caution and prep for long trips...
