• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Decals

I looked up "Tiger Teeth Decal" on ebay, found one and had to order a larger size (custom). It was less than 20 bucks. Sorry, It was over a year ago and I don't remember who the vendor was.

    Tire Options

Do a search and you'll find an endless amount of opinions on this subject. The stock tire is too soft and eggs out toward the center at high speeds (regardless of pressure) causing premature wear. There are several car tire options out there. Toyo Proxes, Kumho and Falken. The car tires are...

    moving to florida

There's lots of bike shippers out there. During Biketoberfest and Bike week in March, there are probably a thousand bikes shipped down to Daytona. Here's a simple site for checking: http://www.motorcycle-shipping.co/?gclid=CPz6lPWK27oCFcnm7AodThsA_g Also as far as the towing aspect..I've got an...

    K&N Air Filter Question

Thx guys, I've got 13K but only 10K on filter..I'm doing an oil change this week and was thinking about cleaning the air filter AND while I was going that far I was going to change wires and plugs (bought Ron's). Since it's running good I'm just going to leave well enough alone and just do the...

Mods to fix heat, pulling out all the plugs

Cool (;))...One question, if you pull the airbox out how will you filter the intake air?? Reason I ask is that I've got a dozen heat mods already but I'm going to change plugs, wires (oil) and pull K&N air filter out next week at same time to clean. If I can dump the box somehow, that'd be...

    Front End Vibration ?

Barneys up in Brandon and Tampa is another good dealer and CFPS (where you're going for alignment) has a lot of Spyder experience. Spyders are just a sideline at ---sports in Fort Myers, but then, so is everything else there.

600 Mile service done in Houston

The standard "Powersport" dealers sell crotch rockets, 4 wheelers, jap bikes of all types, wave runners, etc. In many cases only a small percentage of sales are for Spyders. Given the unique and complex servicing needs of a Spyder, the average wrench turner/tech at the dealer in is over his...

    BRP Adjustable Side Wind Deflectors?

I have both the BRP ones and Baker Air Wings. The Bakers give you a LOT more air than the BRP ones and also help block air when cold. Also, you can simply take off the stock deflectors in the summer.

    iphone 4 mount for trunk?

I've got velcro on the back of my phone case and have a velcro strip on the shelf in the rear trunk. Stays put (and dry), can plug it into power and blue tooth it to helmet headset. Also have a pad I made on center of handlebars that I'll stick it to for shorter dry trips.

    Laser Alignment

It's a nice ride over and the weather is usually good this time of year. Also, if you're there for 2nd week, check out bike night in downtown Fort Myers (2nd Saturday)..good crowd and generally quite a few Spyders.

    Laser Alignment

Anyone who has flown a tail wheel aircraft will attest to how inherently unstable it is to have the CG behind the main wheels. (There are those who have groundlooped and those that will ) Positive stability would be when the rear wheel wants to correct back to center. That's simply not the case...

    Laser Alignment

If you're visiting Biketoberfest, you might want to consider riding down to Edgewater for a Laser Alignment. Had mine done yesterday and my toe was corrected from 2.1 to .05. Felt pretty nice afterwards going 65 with no hands on the bars. After a lot of prior tweaks, Elkas, shock extenders...

Can we talk about tire pressure

Good points BUT the engineers have made a few mistakes in their original design. Also, the decision to use 2 ply tires may not have been performance based but more of a financial one.
