• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    GPS CONNECTION POINT?

Very Knight rider The red bar light reminds me of the "KITT" car from the Knightrider TV series. The rest of it is overwhelming.

    When to change battery.

Good tip I always connect a battery tender because I never know when time and weather will come together for a ride. I rode all day last Labor Day and stopped to fill the tank with cool gas about 1/2 mile from home. It would not crank and I walked home to get a vehicle to boost the RT with...

I wish people would put the topic. In this section

Let it go QUOTE=kbwitt;1323773]So tired of having g to open a post to find out I am not at all interested in the topic. Example. Has anyone seen? You open and it's star wars. It's as bad as advertising something for sale with no price. There is a song from the movie "Frozen" sung by Idina...

    Lifting my RT

Not necesssarily If it is leaking down then something is wrong.

Just joking I may be mistaken, but I think you have just described air.

    Lifting my RT

Think again No. The engine has to be running and it has to be in gear for the compressor to activate.

    Lifting my RT

For your consideration suggestions: # 1 Pull the front wheels up on 2x6 boards cut on a 45% angle on the end. # 2 Use your service jack to lift up the front with a block of wood protecting the frame. # 3 make two small wooden boxes out of 2x6 boards to...

    CB

It all depends The BRP CB is really the only way to go. It plugs directly into the entertainment harness that is already on the RT. Your husband will need a wired headset to install in his helmet. The good news is that he can talk on the CB by simply pushing one button. The bad news is that...

When did you use the nanny?

Be thankful for the nanny. I was a new Spyder rider with my wife behind me when I met the nanny. I made a too sharp right turn onto a side road when I felt a sudden deceleration. I asked my wife if she felt something and she told me that I had gotten a front wheel up. Thank BRP for the nanny...

    Short lived Spyder experience

You nailed it My dealer's BRP mechanic showed me that he "torques" with his DeWalt . He doesn't use a torque wrench. After he ripped three plastic tabs off of the rear side panel, I haven't ever had them touch my RT.

    Anyone checked?

Does it matter? Possibly it's time to get on your machine and try wandering instead of sitting home wondering.

    Shock Quandry

Go Fox I installed the Fox shocks sold by BRP on my 2010 RT. They made a tremendous difference in the body roll in curves without making the ride harsh. I did find that I had to adjust them up after installation when I started scrubbing on speed bumps that had previously not been a problem. I...

best place to mount auxiliary lights

They're amazing Yes, they throw a clean, white, powerful light without blinding oncoming drivers. It is wide enough to light up from line to line and will light up the whole area up to where the headlights start. Look up Xenon Depot and click on motorcycles, Can Am, and your year and model. I...

Random comment about extending foot rests

Excellent Idea You have just showed how to make a comfortable machine even more comfortable. The first time I sat on an F3, I didn't like that I had to hold up on my toe due to the height of the brake pedal and got back off of it.

best place to mount auxiliary lights

Two beautiful machines I have a 2010 RT with the factory fog lights. They really didn't do much with the halogen bulbs. I installed the Xenon Depot Xenon upgrade with the Phillips bulbs. The result is absolutely amazing. It fills in the dark place between your Can Am and where your headlights...

    hello all I'm back

Prayers with you It's going to be a long, slow process to move, walk, and definitely to swing a leg over a Spyder. I had all the lymph nodes removed from my right breast and it was a long healing process and I'm a guy. The best news is I recovered and so can you. Will keep you in my prayers.

    turn signal

Time for plan "B" The speedo unit is a "unit". It's not like a car or truck with a bunch of bulbs on the back of the dash. Time to consider LED indicators on your mirrors. There are several on the market all the way up to Muth mirrors that look like they came from the factory. That's what I...

    Disappearing clutch fluid!

Oh S**T ! The clutch slave cylinder O rings are probably worn and allowing the clutch fluid to be sucked into the vacuum assist line. The clutch has a large diaphragm that assists with how much strength you have to put into pulling in the clutch. If you are reasonably mechanical, you can take a...
