• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Think ground For whatever odd reason, everything on the Can-Am seems to be grounded to the gas tank. Since you asked, consider installing a 14 gauge stranded ground wire between the antenna ground lug and the ground lug on the right rear of the gas tank. This will give the radio a unified...

Custom F3 Blue Ridge Modeled Windsheild

Awesome , very awesome ! Gordon, the windscreen truly looks amazing. Thank you for sharing with the SL world. My father taught me as a young man that if I wanted something that wasn't made to either make it or find someone who would make it for me. He would be impressed by your creativity and...

    Waving etiquette

Left one out They left out the one finger wave that seems too frequently necessary for "cagers" . Personally, I give the wave to every biker. If they wave back that's great. If they don't wave back that's great. Either way , I'm going the other way in style, comfort and listening to my XM radio...

    All alarms are off...!!!

Check your battery Pull off the plastic and check the battery connections. This may seem simplistic, but a poor connection at the battery may cause all the problems that you mentioned.

Second opinion Look on Xenon Depot (a site sponsor) for LED bulbs to do a quick, simple, effective upgrade. Custom Dynamics also sells excellent products, many that look like they came from the factory.

100 watt bulbs that some of us installed in our RTs or other bikes (posting for Mike!

Not new information On 6-25-15 under "headlight comparison test" I told the forum the difference that this would make. I'm sorry that someone is surprised that twice the wattage (read heat) melted their headlight holders. Go Xenon. The light is amazing in it's whiteness and intensity. LED's...

Audible "Dong Dong" in head set

Not your imagination It may be the GPS warning you of something such as a red light camera or a speed camera. That is what my Garmin 660 does. Look down at the GPS next time you hear it and see if that is what it is. You didn't mention a GPS, but I think they are included with a Limited.

    Nashvile?

It's OK The only way that I have found to correct the spelling in the title line is to completely delete the entire post and then start over. I'm sure someone more savvy with the site will chime in with a better way. As to the dealer in Nashville, that will have to be up to someone else. Keep...

    Electronic Frunk Release

Try Play Dough Put a small amount of Play Dough under the arm of the micro switch and close the frunk cover. This will let you "see" where the post on the cover is striking it . You may be able to use needle nose pliers to gently bend the spring arm to the correct position.

    Battery tenders

Not a "need" but a very good "want" The RT seems to need a little help with the battery situation. I can't tell you what seems to slowly draw down the sealed gel-cell but I can tell you that a battery tender plugged in each time you park overnight or longer will ensure that every time you will...

    600 Mile Service WHAT?

Go for it I purchased a BRP hard copy manual from a BRP dealer. It was about $165.00 and worth every dollar of it. It takes you through every step even if you have to flip around in different sections such as from "body" to "cooling system". In the back are wonderful illustrations with torques...

Results on Heat Issue 2015 F3-S

Consider an RT It has been reported that the 2014 / 2015 version of the RT seems to have corrected the heat problems. It may not be an F3 , but it would still have the 1330 motor that you are used to and may be an answer to the heat problems that you are having. It will be interesting to hear...

    Mobil 1 Oil Analysis Report

Question for you What is your thinking on changing oil and not changing the filter ? I haven't ever thought of that. I'm an old guy so I started changing my own oil in 1970 and I really haven't ever changed one without the other. I'm not questioning you, I'm just asking what your thinking is...

    Uncomfortable cornering

OMG Really ? I have a simple suggestion for those who would prefer no nanny. Get a Harley. Please push it to the point that one tire comes off the road and report back to us after you get out of the hospital. For the rest, simply ride like your life depends on it and be thankful when the...

    Lifting the Spyder

Keep it simple I use a service jack with a 1x6" piece of wood. Bring it in from the front and put the wood on the jack to protect the metal frame. I put ramps under the front wheels for safety. Works well for me. From there, I use the same jack and 1x6 to lift up the back and then put a third...
