• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My V-day gift

Interesting lift. I agree, it will take a while financially to balance out, but I think great satisfaction is achieved by doing your own tinkering and work. Wish I had room and equipment to do this for my autos as well. And frankly, many dealers are incompetent and very pricey...

How best to cut into speaker panel? For 12 v receptacle

Imho, it is a LOT easier to cut into the speaker panel and route a wire there than this placement. But that's just me. And if I mess up, pretty easy (and cheap?) to replace the panel. But others may vary, and I'm fine with that. Thanks everyone! Had to button everything back up to ride my...

How best to cut into speaker panel? For 12 v receptacle

Louie, your my new best friend. That is an awesome find!! I will definitely route my wires to that spot rather than the rear. Thanks so much. And isn't it crazy - they put two 12 hubs, or accessory wires, in the frunk and trunk, yet none on the dash? Really? Thanks again. RHK

How best to cut into speaker panel? For 12 v receptacle

I'm putting a 12 volt usb hub (marine quality) in the speaker cover on left side. This is so I can charge my iPhone if needed. I've seen others do this and I like how it looks and the placement.

How best to cut into speaker panel? For 12 v receptacle

Ok...figured out how to get to wires that power the accessory 12v plug in the rear box - by removing the left side speaker assembly. I can tap into those wires, feed it to the front fairly easily. I got the speaker panel off on the left side, but I'm curious. I've seen others install the round...

did anyone see this from lamont

Just changed out my antenna today. Only issue I had was with the deep socket I had in my toolbox. It simply wouldn't allow the stub of broken antenna up through the middle of it. I did find a new socket at autozone that was just big enough in the middle to work. Piece of cake after that. That...

    Service suggestions

Many years ago, my dad sent my blond sister to the friendly parts store for a "left handed pipe wrench." Joke was on him though when they sold her one and she brought it home. Parts guy said he laughed and laughed as he gave it to her. Same sister that that put rocks on fence posts to remember...

Where to tap into "switched" electrical line for 2014 RT Limited.

Hmmm. I like this idea. So use a relay connected to the license plate to signal the fuse box to be "live" only when engine switched on. Then connect whatever you want to the fuse box and it's automatically switched. Same kinda set up that Easternbeaver website is selling. Is this right? Again...

Where to tap into "switched" electrical line for 2014 RT Limited.

Not a bad idea, except I wonder if that wire and fuse can handle the add'l electrcal draw of the heated seats. Hmmm...but not a bad idea for a switch to use for the seats. Hook a relay to the handle switch wire, and run power line direct to battery with in-line fuse? I'm no electrical expert...

Where to tap into "switched" electrical line for 2014 RT Limited.

May have found a solution. Thanks all. Idaho, i think I get what you are saying. I think I found an option here: http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Wiring_Kits/Fuseboxes/PC-8/pc-8.html#kitoptions They offer a fuse box with both hot and switched tabs, and a relay to connect to switched wire to...

    Hi all! Goodyear Spyder newbie

Fascinating. Just called Ridenow Surprise. This time, the guy was very nice, but came back after a 5 minute hold to say that the 3k price was "somewhere over $200, probably in the $3-400 range. We don't have a breakdown of the exact price as it has many different elements so I'd have to check on...

    Hi all! Goodyear Spyder newbie

Fascinating. Ridenow Avondale/Goodyear wants $400 for the 3k oil filter change and checkup. Ridenow Chanlder, $210. Ridenow Surprise's service department is not open on Sunday and Monday's, so I have no idea what they would charge. I think I'll stay very far away from Ridenow Goodyear...
