• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I had to laugh.

I wave regardless of the oncoming brand. I have noted that some Harley riders do not return my greeting. Some do. But there are times when I am distracted. I'm sure other riders get distracted, too. But I'll keep on waving because we are all riders :doorag:

Seeking advice for entering the 3 wheel world

What he said. Definitely go for the 1330 motor. Style is up to you. Consider your riding preference. Do you like to take long rides across country or just putt around locally? That said go for test rides at a dealer. :doorag:

    Spyder Idiosyncrasies.

Keep riding and it'll come to you. Was on 2 wheels from age 12 to 63. Went to a trike and hated it. Boring like riding in a pickup truck with the windows down. Got a 2017 RTS 18 months ago. Took me about 1000 miles to relax. Now have 19,000 plus miles on Samantha (she bewitched me) :doorag:

    Fuel light

Being a long time rider, I tend to go by the miles rode instead of the gauge. 200 miles when not pulling my camper. 160 when I am. I have learned that I usually have about a 1/2 gallon left when the warning light comes. :doorag:

    Seat Cushion

I got the medium Air Hawk and it fits the RT seat well. Had too much air initially but was good after letting some air out. Recently completed a 1000 mile ride. Comfortable all the way. :doorag:

Belt guard is truly the missing part

My bad. The $1000 quote was for the total repair - 18000 mile check, oil change and service and the belt and installation. First mistake I ever made :dontknow:

Belt guard is truly the missing part

Just returned from a 1000 mile round trip and took my 2017 RTS in for service. Dealer called and said my belt was torn. Quoted $1000 plus to replace. I authorized the replacement but I also ordered a belt guard from Lamonster. Have 19000 miles on the Spyder. Love the ride. Hate the expense. Oh...

    Park brake

Parking brake failed on my 2017 RTS after only 4500 miles. Would not set so it was ridable (is that spelled right?) so I took to dealer. Fixed under warranty :doorag:

    RT vs F3

I am 5'10" and my arms are so short that I have added risers to every bike I have owned. My RTS is the first ride I have no need of anything extra on the handle bars. After 18,000 plus miles, I know the Spyder is the right machine for me. I'm 75 years old and the Spyder will add years to my...

    New Toy

My Spyder has certainly added years to my riding. Bought it right after my 75th birthday. That was 15 months ago and put 17,000 plus miles on her. Went from a triked out Yamaha. Spyder is so much easier to ride, especially over long distances :doorag:
