• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Has anyone used vinyl pinstriping?

Check out places that do vinyl wraps. You can get pretty much any design you can think of. See mine below.

    Road vibrations on 3 wheels

Yes, three wheels will hit every road imperfection. Worse, even a small bump tries to send the Spyder in a new direction, requiring constant steering corrections. Two wheels wants to go straight, so it self corrects after minor bumps. In fact, two wheels can be ridden with no handlebar input at...

Wife wants a Spyder, need some advice on any auto trans problems?

I enthusiastically endorse the suggestion by Texas Al. The Spyder ryde is so much different from anything else. That class, with a closed course and expert supervision, made a tremendous difference for me. You really don't want to just jump on one without knowing what to expect.

Hate putting air in rear tire.....Hate it.

There is really no need now to use a separate pressure gauge. There are plenty of compressor/gauge devices available. With mine I set the pressure I want, screw on the hose, and press the button. When the pump stops, unscrew and I am done. Loss during unscrewing in not an issue. You could set it...

    Anyone installed BRP's RT-L arm rests on a 2021?

Installed them on my 2019 F3L. They are solid. The aftermarket rests I have seen are flimsy in comparison. You do have to give up the heated passenger handgrips - not a problem here in Southern California. The armrests themselves are a bit slippery, so I put some transparent anti-slip tape on...

Any Examples of the word "Spyder" written in script?

When I went to get my F3L wrapped, I really didn't know what I wanted. I have been told my fashion and décor taste is less than stellar. I just told the shop to add something bright and make it look nice. They did and I am happy with the result.

    Securing Handicap Placard on Spyder

If you are eligible for a handicap placard, you should have no trouble getting a handicap plate. Here in CA I have a placard an applied for the plate through AAA and it arrived fairly quickly.

Is there a Spyder Cover that just drapes over the full body?

I have a Nelson-Rigg cover for my 2019 F3L and it is a fine cover. However, the elastic is quite tight, making it a bit of a pain to get on and off. Does anyone make a fitted cover that simply drapes over the full body? Since I only use it in the garage, I have no worry about it being blown off.

Unclear Icon on 2019 F3L just above Gear Posn Indicator? What is it?

I have a 2019 F3L. When moving at constant speed, there is a small orange icon just above the gear number indicator. I can't get a real good look at it because it only comes on when traveling at a constant speed. It disappears when accelerating, decelerating and stopped. Sort of looks like the...

    Back Support Belt

I wear a back support belt for longer rides. I have a Back-A-Line which gives good support when standing. However, I am a skinny dude and it digs into my hips when sitting. I would like to get some recommendations for alternatives from any of you that also use a support belt.

    Review: Two wheels to three

Let me offer a counterpoint. I also rode 2 wheels for decades, about half the time on a Goldwing. In addition to the steering difference you will find the Spyder requires more physical effort - a LOT more physical effort. On the Spyder you have to turn and hold the bars through the entire tum. I...

    New Motor and Activated Airbag.

Finally got my 2019 F3L back with the new motor. BRP covered the install after the oil pump gears failed. The trike had just under 6K miles. After the dealer installed the motor and was checking everything out, they noticed the airbag was not inflating so they kept it another day to investigate...

Is there a trick to checking the tire pressure in the rear tire?

I use a screw on hose and a smart compressor that stops at the set pressure. Air loss on removal is not an issue.

F3 Limited windshield comparison - anyone done one?

I have the Show Chrome on my 2019 F3L and am happy with it. I am also 5'9".

    Can-Am TV Ad

While watching Battlebots I saw an ad for Can-Am on TV. Almost missed it as the program was recorded so I can skip the ads. Not bad, but not great. Focused on image and clearly designed to appeal to women. I believe this is the first TV ad I have seen for Can-Am.

    Error Codes P196C, P0524 - Update

Getting a loaner would be nice, but would probably raise liability issues that no dealer would want to face. They don't keep a large stock of Spyders. I guess putting a new engine in would be the same as an exact replica since I spent a bit of time and money getting it tricked out the way I...

    Error Codes P196C, P0524 - Update

As I previously posted, I received these error codes after riding a short bit about a month ago. The trike went into limp mode and I managed to get it home. The dealer picked it up a week later and their diagnosis showed no oil pressure. After finally getting approval from BRP they started...

    Error Codes P196C, P0524 - Update

Update - Dealer finally got a look and diagnosed "no oil pressure". No cause diagnosed at this time. Now they are waiting for Can-Am to give a go-ahead for warranty work.

    Question battery\Trickle charger

Do you really need a battery maintainer if the longest the trike sits is only two weeks?
