• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would keep the stock seat for a while. You may just like it. I couldn't make up my mind so I bought a Corbin and an Ultimate Seat. I had three seats for about 6 months. Rode them all and discovered that the stock seat with an Air Hawk cushion was the best for me. In my opinion, there...

    New front tires - Potenza

Well, well, well. Thanks BK911 for resurrecting this thread. I did this very thing when I was working through my higher than groupthink tire pressures. Measured heat signatures and took PSI readings every 20-30 miles for an entire weekend of riding. I couldn't agree more with the...

How to Check the Safety Card at Night!

But generally, for Milky Way shots you would need: A digital camera. No need for an expensive one. Wide angle lens. Tripod. The hardest thing to do is get focus of the stars. Can't touch the camera when it fires. Remote switch to activate the shot, OR just have it on a delay. I do a 2...

How to Check the Safety Card at Night!

As far as camera settings... All cameras, and definitely brands, have different attributes. I use Sony Alpha cameras: A7Sii, A7Rii, and A6300's as backups. These were all taken with a Zeiss Batis 2.8/18 lens. A Sony A7Sii can literally see in the dark. It is a full framed camera...

They are not "Photoshopped." I use Adobe Lightroom to give it more dynamic range. People! Professional photographers use Lightroom, and similar programs, all the time. Cameras are not eyes, and eyes are not cameras. Our eyes have a great dynamic range: they can see detail in the darks...

How to Check the Safety Card at Night!

I see that you're in San Diego. Yes, you do with a little drive! Last year I had a lecture in SD, and after our dinner I drove my rental car to the Jacumba Mountains. It is near the border of CA, AZ, and Mexico. Took a bunch of pictures, drove all the way back to SD airport, and made my...

    High speed vibration

Doing all the other "necessary" upgrades: Antisway bar, upgraded shocks from stock, car tires, etc. really dialed in that vibration for me to about 4100 RPMS. Was a LOT better, but then I put the belt tensioner on and it is pretty much non-existent.

    Tires General Altimax Opservation

Exactly my point, and it is unfortunate that it is allowed. Another issue that hinders a forum success is when big time posters jump on someone because the topic has been discussed so many times.... "Just do a search!" Bigtime posters forget that it is easy for them to make any post! Newer...

    Tires General Altimax Opservation

I was an Administrator for a website with about 250,000 members. We had about 30 moderators that monitored all of the categories. There were just a few Administrators that had more authority to delete threads, kick people off of the island, etc., etc. So, we had to make some very...

    Fox Shocks Installed

Three years later and about 25,000 miles on upgraded Fox shocks! One of the best upgrades, along with antisway bar, that I could've done. Well, then there are the tires, too....

    Shocks

I installed Fox shocks on my 2015 RT and could not believe how big of an improvement it was. I'm sure Elkas are great, too. The STOCK shocks are cheap compared to either upgraded brand. Here are some instructions for installing Fox shocks. Go HERE.

Well i went in to inquire about helmets, came out with this.

Congratulations! My wife didn't know I was buying a Spyder. Why tell her when she would just say NO! :) It was parked in our garage, and I was parked on the couch for about a week. Totally worth the investment of owning one! But, I should've just told her I was going in the store to...

    Tires General Altimax Opservation

And... just like in the thread that was shut down, I will apologize for being a part of this tire pressure issue. I know that people are tired ;) of it. Oh my gosh... me too. So, sorry about that. No moderator made me say this. I just know it is exhausting and going no where...

I see what you're saying. I was being too simplistic. Let me clarify: there is no science for car tires on motorcycles that also use car beaded rims. Better? :D

    Tires General Altimax Opservation

LOL. Not once have I stated that lowered tire pressures are bad, but when I've stated that I've found differently for my own riding style and desires, I get your vitriol from YOU, nobody else. ANYONE that has read this forum for the last year knows this. They just ain't sayin' it. My...
