• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

One Year Later, 2008 SE5 Review

Sure was a fast year, almost seems like we've had Spyder longer. Now and then I can remind myself of all the other bikes and trips we have behind us; it's all been a blast. Turning colder here (yeah, yeah it's cold to me) and riding is a bit uncomfortable chill wise. Wind blows a lot around the...

    Ride home from the BBQ

Enjoyed the write up Kim. Good insight for sure. Modifying or adding on or whatever it's called would certainly be cheaper than a new bike in the long run; not that that is always a factor. Many is the time Dudley has said "this is the last bike"; yeah, right. We like and trust ours so it will...

62k miles.... now you see it and.... now you don't

That's sick. We all know you've been riding it since the beginning; least we at home do cause we've read your post admiringly. That hurts. Couldn't it be plugged to a computer and you could get a reading? I'm simple with that type of stuff so pardon me, but I do remember a mechaninc hooking us...

    New Machine Jitters

Some "mechanical" people advised us not to purchase something so radical but the pull was tooooo strong. After the first few demo rides there was no question that one would soon be ours. Purchased Nov 08 and 25,000 plus miles we are still extremely happy. Take the plunge.

    First Sitting

The passenger seat is roomy, just too wide and difficult to mount. Guess you should get on the driver seat first then scoot over the hump and settle in the passengers place. There is a rim/lip around the edge so those with wider bottoms may have an issue if their parts have to sit on this edge...

    I created a monster.

I've wondered about this myself and maybe that's why Dudley doesn't let me drive very often. That's ok, it's fun but I like the no responsiblility of sitting in the back checking out the sights. No room in garage either.....Good luck.

    RT Options

Dudley would haul me to a dealer in the past with the "just looking" quote. No worries here though, we like ours. Had a meet/greet with the local group here today and Ken Miller brought over his RT demo. Looks pretty cool. I didn't like the passenger seat and had trouble getting back there...

Who knows where Jeuchler has been?

So glad your OK. Can't imagine us being too/so busy we didn't check to see what was going on here. Hi Barb.

    VIDEO FROM JEN AND DUDLEY

Oh dear, did I cross lines again? Darn politics. Sorry Lamont; but it was fun.

    VIDEO FROM JEN AND DUDLEY

Now if we had one of those new contraptions to try we could be "on the road again". Thanks Jamey you did a great job.

Two weeks of vacation, need ideas

What fun and how exciting. Yes, make sure to get out and GO. First check the extended weather forecast in each direction to see which way would be best to aim for. I'm not familiar with your section of the country although we were in the area sort of last month. Hopefully you will get other...

    MPG

Gee, don't know. We usually run between 31-33 MPG. We don't pay that much attention to anything but NOT running out of gas. Never really had trouble finding fuel, but there were a few times we really had to be on the look out for a source. We normally stopped before darkness fell so most places...

    Spyders in the Smokies Bound

Bon Voyage! Have a wonderful, safe time. If you forget anything, buy it along the way or do without. Great you will have interesting pictures for all of us to see. Best wishes.:2thumbs:

    MPG

We'll see you and Joy in Oceanside Sunday Brian. We shouldn't run out of gas, lol. Hasn't happened yet, guess there could be a first time.

    Pics of new trailer

Wow, think of all the things one could carry in there. We probably don't own that many, lol. Looking good.:2thumbs: Enjoy.

Blog-First Ride on the Spyder RT

Very enthusiastic account. Bet there will be/have been a few sleepless nights. Maybe the Mrs. will test ride with you; curious about the seat. All sounds good. Happy with our tried and true spyder but it's always great watching a new "something" hit the markets.

    I'll keep the "Old Lady"

Me too. I like ours just fine and look forward to putting on many more miles. Dependable and always ready to roll.
