• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Great little ride today

We just got home about 6:30. I was thrilled to meet Lamont. :D He is such a nice guy! We had our Spyder in for its 3k service and were mentioning I'd love to see Lamont's setup and especially the new GPS location. Hubby didn't want to move ours until we could see how the dash mount would be...

First Trip with Our RT and a question

We couldn't have picked a better weekend for leaf-peeping in southeast TN. We got our spyder in mid-August and finally had a chance to spend a couple days on the road. We left Gray, TN on Saturday morning and headed to Tellico Plains. I wanted to drive the Cherohala. That was our only "must do"...

    Spyder Sightings

Yesterday, Saturday the 15th, leaving the Cherohala Visitors Center in Tellico Plains, TN saw 2 spiders, one dark RT with 2 up. We exchanged waves and thumbs up. Don't know if they hang here on Spyderlovers. Looks like they were riding with another on a 2 wheeler. Also saw a yellow RS fly by the...

    Spyder Sightings

While we were stopped at a scenic overlook on 23 in VA just south of Norton, saw a blue RT go southbound. I doubt he saw our limited in the parking lot. We were headed up to Wise, VA for their Fall Fling Festival.

    How many miles

    Spyder Sightings

Sunday, Sept. 25th headed out to local Cracker Barrel for breakfast and spied two spyders in the lot. One belonged to YPILOT and the other to a friend of his from Telford. I'm sorry I can't remember the other rider's name. :opps: When we got into the restaurant, I was searching trying to figure...

    Spyder Sightings

We went to Townsend, TN today (Saturday Sept. 24) and about 3 miles outside of town this afternoon saw a dark RT driven by a woman. She looked like she was with a guy on a cruiser ahead of her. Then when heading back through Pigeon Forge around 5:30ish saw two white RTs. One had just gone...

How long have you owned your Spyder and mileage??????

Husband and I share our 2011 Limited. When we are out on weekends, I usually end up driving us home because his right foot gets sore (needs surgery soon). It's nice either of can drive it. I use it during the week for errands and rydes when I need a break. He works from home, so there's never...

    Rear shock adjustment Question

I'm back from the dealer. The fix took all of about 40 minutes total. It was the infamous loose wire syndrome. :roflblack: We're good to go now!

    Rear shock adjustment Question

Thanks so much for the tip on adjusting. I'm gonna leave well enough alone and I'm sure husband won't want to mess with it, either. *L* It's 1 bar shy of hardest so if it's accurate despite the problem, it rides just fine. I'm sure I can wait for experimenting once they fix the auto button. I...

    Rear shock adjustment Question

Hmmm. The gauge does not turn orange and it doesn't say "manual" either. It also won't show if I push the soft button. It just shows up when pushing the hard side and no amount or configuration of pushing buttons thereafter does a thing. I tried tapping it to adjust and a steady push to adjust...

    Rear shock adjustment Question

Thanks! Guess I didn't correlate that one to our experience, but I see it is similar and the mention of having it back on BUDS to reset it.

    Rear shock adjustment Question

Huh, weird. When it was on BUDS last week for the first check, nothing showed. It's a 2011. Thanks, Spyderden. Wonder why my searches didn't turn up anything?

    Rear shock adjustment Question

I've searched the forum and no one seems to have our experience: Had the limited spyder (about 1500 miles on it) in to the shop today for them to adjust my front shocks to 5 after reading advice here. I love how it handles now, much steadier on the highway and better in the curves. Going down...

    Spotted limited in NC

Husband and I were out around that area on Saturday. But I don't think we were as far as Glen Alpine. We have a 2011 Limited and are from NETN, around Johnson City. We are planning on doing ryding in that whole area of the Cherohala mid-Octoberish. Would be nice to meet up with some folks. We...

    Limited Fog light question

We've been enjoying our new limited and it just had it's first service today. This evening we did some extended night riding. We always leave the fog lamps on and tonight took a good look when we pulled in. In the same area right under the big fog lamps is another little disc that looks like...

    Anxiously Awaiting Our Spyder

We brought it home last night. We both practiced a bit in a parking lot then husband rode it home and I drove the car. This morning I got in about an hour ride before the rain. I just loooove it! It handles so nicely and is very easy to get used to. I'm thinking about squeezing in another...
