• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I guess I'm a motorcycle guy

Sweet ride. I had a 2012 C14 before going to the F3 Ltd (knees). Even though I ride the Spyder now, I'm still an active member of the COG club (Concours Owners Group). Since you have a C14, you need to check out cog-online.org Our moto, join for the bike stay for the people. We don't care what...

    ECU removal

Hi Blueknight, didn't want to hijack this tread too much. Sorry, forgot to mention the tire. I installed a Kumho Solus TA11 215/60R15 94T BW and running 20 PSI. In a few years, LOL, when I wear out this tire I'll install one with about a 40K mile rating for better traction. In the meantime I'm...

    ECU removal

There is one bolt, I believe the upper of the three that is a PITA to get out. I used a box wrench and could only turn it about 1/8th of a turn at a time due to accessibility. A slow process but it will come out real easily. Unlock the clips on the ECU like Dennis said and it comes right out...

    Stock seat

I use a bead seat cover that I bought on Amazon for $12.00 and it works better than I thought it would. Just did a 632 mile day coming back from NC to FL and my but felt fine. It's a cheap way to try to see if it works for you. I bought it mainly to keep my but cool during the summer riding and...

Some F3 rear tire selection insights.

Here is some information that I would like to share with the crowd about my experience when I replaced the rear tire on my 2016 F3 Ltd. Take it for what it’s worth for your own enjoyment. As everyone does, I searched on here and read all about what to look for and to avoid in selecting a tire. I...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

I've had my flash for about 7 months now and I'm very happy with the difference. The exhaust on mine is stock but I have noticed at idle it has more of a rumble to it and a little louder. When you get on it, it has a nice growl as well. Throttle response is much better and requires less twist of...

    B.E.S.T. Warranty

Well, another happy camper here with Sierra Cycles in AZ. I emailed them on Tuesday with my 2016 F3-Ltd VIN and mileage info as the factory warranty runs out in August. I had purchased a 2016 model in 2017. David Levitt emailed my back later that day with a quote of $670 for a 3-year B.E.S.T...

2016 F3 Ltd rear rim width

Question about short reach bars for F3 Limited

I have the 2 inch risers on my F3. If you get the 1 3/4 inch ones you won't be able to tighten down all the hardware. The 2 inch one barely gives you enough room. I had to change two of the mounting screws to hex bolts because you can't get the hex wrench directly into the screw head to tighten...

    Rear tire (automotive) pressure?

Reference wingit3611, he mentioned that he is running a Kumho 225/50R15 on his RTL. I'm pretty sure the 2016 F3 has the same swing arm as the RT. The numbers on the Kumho width for the 225/50 seems to be wider then the OEM tire. My question, for you, do you have sufficient clearance to the belt...

Had laser alignment done--- doesn’t feel right.

OK, the outcome to my alignment issue. I took the bike in this morning. I had typed out what I had found and how it handled and gave this to them. It's much easier for me to have it typed out so I can state everything that needs to be said without getting wound up saying it. It helps to approach...

Had laser alignment done--- doesn’t feel right.

Thanks again for the inputs. I re-scheduled my appointment for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, 24th. I'll review the references mentioned before then and see how it compares with what they do. I'll post afterwards with the outcome. Everyone have a safe and bountiful Thanksgiving with friends...

Had laser alignment done--- doesn’t feel right.

Thanks everyone for your comments and insight. I called them and made an appointment for Dec 1st to have them do it again. This time I'm going to stand by and watch what they do. I'll do some research before hand to find out what they should be setting it at and ask for a print out of their...

Had laser alignment done--- doesn’t feel right.

I had a laser alignment done on my 2016 F3 Ltd at Route 1 motorsports in Palm Bay a month ago (7230 miles) and things haven’t felt right since then (500 miles later). It initially had a slight drift to the right which was the reason for the alignment check. I finally remembered to take a serious...

MUSHU's First Visit To The Spa(dealer)

Radio Tango, are you getting poor reception or intermited operation? If it's poor reception, have them go through every component connection in the antenna circuit including the antenna to post interface. When I replaced my antenna to relocate it, I found Loctite at every interface in the...

    shifting

Shift hessitation I've got a 2016 F3 Ltd and it will do this sometimes under certain shifting loads. If you accelerate moderately (light throttle) to around 3000 RPM it will hessitate shifting to second. If you accelerate under a more spirited load to about 4000 RPM or more it's quick and...

Moving to Florida. Tango, you will be about an hour north of me. You'll be in Daytona's back door. I might try to meet up with the Space Coast Spyder Riders group at Route 1 Motorsports before heading up to Daytona. I should be up there around noon. I usually stop at the track and walk the...

Meet and greet Jtoro1, thanks for the heads up on next weekend's meeting at Route 1 Motorsports. I was just there yesterday getting my bike aligned. They have the lazer algnment equipment and charged me 1 1/2 hours labor. I could feel the difference as soon as I got it on the road. It had a...
