• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Help Removing Skid Plate

So today I performed my Ryker's first oil and filter change. Somehow this caused oil to become trapped in the skid plate. Because I frequently haul my Ryker in my motorhome toyhauler, I didn't want this oil dripping out onto the toyhauler floor. I consulted this thread and decided to attempt...

Rally fuel pump fix done but still have questions?

Just to update this thread, I finally got the new fuel pump anti-whining part installed by the dealer on both of my Rykers. So far so good, but too soon and cool to tell for sure. Hopefully I can stop whining about my fuel pump whining:)

Rally fuel pump fix done but still have questions?

Hi Zoot. That would be the omnipresent Ride Now in Peoria. But I actually purchased my Rykers in Nebraska. The original service writer I was working with at Ride Now left his job, so I think my correspondence with them fell thru the cracks and I had to start the process all over again...

Rally fuel pump fix done but still have questions?

So after many phone calls to the local dealer and BRP since the first of the year, I finally have an appt with the local dealer to actually perform the fuel pump whine fix on both of my Rykers on March 5. Hopefully that goes smoothly and solves the problem. Fingers crossed.

    Where is everybody?

Took a 60 mile ryde two days ago to the northern reaches of the Valley of the Sun. Temp was lower 60s. AZ got a good amount of snow last week, you can see some remnants of it on the mountains behind my Ryker. This is as close as I care to be to snow, unless I am skiing on it

    Peaceful Ride To Nowhere Today

Wow, there is not much separating that Inn from the highway. This was an accident waiting to happen. My first job out of college was in a small ancient brick building in a old part of south Omaha. This building was right up next to a very busy intersection. Twice in 4 years we had a car...

Rally fuel pump fix done but still have questions?

Thanks for getting back to me, Cueman. Obviously this is an issue that affects a lot of Rykers in this forum. I'll give my service writer a couple more days, if no call back, I will call Can Am directly. So it sounds like they didn't have you pay for a fuel pressure test, huh?

Rally fuel pump fix done but still have questions?

Hi Cueman. You are the only poster I have seen on here who has had CanAm perform the fix for the whining fuel pump. I have two 2019 Rykers that have this malady. Last week I took my wife's bike in to the dealer to have the wheel nut recall done. I asked him about the fuel pump issue also...

Pro's & Con's for the Linq top case?

Dang, that's really nice work, Rick. Way above my skill level. I first ordered a Nelson-Riggs soft case from Slingmods, but also didn't like how it attached. I looked at the Linq case, but went with a Givi Monolock case. I got the idea from a couple of other posters on here. I like the fact...

    Where is everybody?

Cool, I am in the northwest suburbs of PHX. I have passed thru the centrally located burg of Camp Verde hundreds of times. The next 5 days here are going to be in the 75 to 79 degree range, so I will definitely be taking advantage of that :ohyea:

    Where is everybody?

Here you go: Got my wife's Ryker wheel nut recall done yesterday at the dealer. She and I plan to take a ride this afternoon in crisp 64 degree weather

Let’s share some pics of our Rykers

Here is my Ryker near Mt. Rushmore. Notice how the protesters at Trump's July 3 speech there defaced the sign memorializing the scupltor, Borglum And a photo from that last day of my 3 week trip around north-central USA, cycling around Sedona AZ on Hw. 89A.

Let’s share some pics of our Rykers

Welcome scharlierrn, nice Ryker :2thumbs: Highwayman, is Rhyolite a ghost town? Here are a couple more Ryker photos from my present road trip. Devils Tower: Near a George Custer historic site, I wonder what he would think of these Plastic Horses? And by a sunflower field, with North...

    Custom Paint job

Looks nice, but I prefer simple primary colors like my GM Victory Red that I used to paint over my OEM Can Am "red". Is that aqua and purple? He must be a fan of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets?

Let’s share some pics of our Rykers

Greg, you should see if the track owners will let you take a couple of laps around the greyhound track on your Ryker. That could be fun:ohyea: Here are a couple of interesting sites of my Ryker on my current road trip. First photo is in northwest Nebraska's Pine Ridge area. Second photo is...

    No new adventures today......

Thanks SD. If you make it down to Clarksdale sometime, send me a PM, and if our schedules align maybe I can come up and ryde the area with you. I still need to ryde 89A from Sedona to Flagstaff, too.

    No new adventures today......

I hear you, Greg. I just spent a couple days ryding Hwy 89A between Prescott Valley and Jerome in AZ and it was a blast. Then add in the component of climbing and descending about 2000 ft on both sides of the summit and you really have something. :ohyea: Here is a rendering of that route:

Let’s share some pics of our Rykers

I finally made it to Mingus Mountain to ride the excellent curvy hwy 89A there. First I found a nice campsite in the Prescott National Forest. Here are my wife's and my bike. Rykers in the forest! Keeping with Chris's mountain theme, here is my Ryker with part of Mingus Mtn in the...
