• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Serious about buying a Spyder but have questions

Dan, to address your concerns about how it "feels" after 35 years on motorcycles (and still riding!!) the Spyder feels weird to a biker because it leans slightly outboard in the turns.(as your car does, but you're used to that) The feel is comparable to an ATV or snowmobile. I knew I was...

    Throttlemeister questions

The vistacruise, while not as nice to look at, is much easier to turn on and off. The throttlemeister has definitely got it in the looks department, but if you primarily want bar end weight for vibration damping, why not get bar end weights, or a bar snake, or the bar weights with the neat...

Your Home Run Could Be a Grand Slam!

Just received my Home Run goodies yesterday. Time to head down to the shop and play...:clap: That Grand Slam would be S-U-U-W-E-E-E-E-T!!!:2thumbs:

    Wiring the GPS?

Actually, if you'd like switched power near the front end of the bike it's perfectly OK to tap the wires that feed the optional 12V plug accessory socket in the top left of the front trunk compartment. The wires can be found inside a rubber boot zip-tied in a space in the steel frame just behind...

How many keep a Spyder and a 2-wheel motorcycle?

My situation is similar to Scotty's. Many bikes in the stable, many years riding two wheelers, three wheelers, 4 wheelers, sidecar rig. Bikes with all different shift patterns. right side, left side, heel brake, toe brake, heel/toe shifter, automatic. Some of them, especially "right side...

New owner with questions (Rough Idle)

Solution: Go to Evoluzione.net and purchase Ken's O2 modifier. My Spyder was the first one my dealer ever saw with one on it and he wanted to get them for all his Spyder owners!! Really cleans up cold running problems and low throttle performance. Easy install. After install, disconnect...

    B.E.S.T vs B.E.S.T Plus

Do you have to get the BEST from the dealer you bought the bike from, or will any dealer do? If so, are there any dealers that discount the extended warranty? If they're like other warranty extensions, they have big mark-up and considerable extra profit, so should be discountable(??) Also...

    Cow-Am

Cow-a-bunga!!!!!! I love it!! I wonder if you have to hook it to a milker to do the oil change??:2thumbs: Do you call a mechanic, or a vet??

Here is my little piece of the Seat I am making

I have to say that that is, without a doubt, the classiest Spyder saddle that I've seen!!! Well done!!!:2thumbs::clap::congrats::spyder2:

    Practically Perfect Tankbag!!

Just checked out pics/blurb on the NR bag. Looks like one or the other company copied the design. The only difference I spotted is the Cortech has an extra outside pouch for change, earplugs, turnpike ticket, etc. right behind the carry handle, quick access for small stuff. Can't comment on...

    Practically Perfect Tankbag!!

I did add the foam wedges to the bottom of the bag, but I honestly can't say they're that big a deal. ( I can't resist tinkering and tweaking stuff!!) Unless you put bricks or a bag of rocks in the bag, it's not gonna "rock" very much. I used closed cell foam pipe insulation, (sized for half...

Hard to see $245.00 worth of product here

I doubt they're made in house, so there's that cost. Development, heat treatment, fabrication, rockwell testing, powdercoating, advertising, profit margin. I bet they cost more to produce than just the price of the metal involved. I've gotten sticker shock on some LED lighting products...

    got hid headlight but idk....

Can't comment on your HID kit, but I'm a big fan of the PIAA bulbs. Most light you can get for the money IMHO.:2thumbs:

Russell or Corbin Saddle? It's decision time. Owners of either; what say you?

Long time motorcycle rider here. Corbin looks great in the style department, but the seats are often HARD. And, if you want a mod on the seat because you're not satisfied with it, they whack you a significant extra charge even though the problem is no fault of yours. I never heard ANYBODY say...

    Practically Perfect Tankbag!!

Actually, I have wide-angle vision and can see it quite clearly!!:shocked::shocked::shocked: :yikes: :joke: Actually, I like the security of having it bolted down, and don't like handlebar clutter!!

    Greetings from the Pacific NW

I believe I'd get some feed back on the local dealer from other Spyder customers. Doesn't hurt to shop price, and get back to the local guy if he's got bike(s) on the floor. The bikes are not as tight in most markets as they were a year ago, and there are actually dealers in some markets with...

    Practically Perfect Tankbag!!

The GPS is a Zumo 550. Pulled the steering head cover, made a paper template for the 4 holes in the GPS mount and drilled. I used 4 half-inch nylon spacers from the hardware store to get around the curved upper surface of the steering cover. Power wire routed around and below steering head...

    Warping Instrument Cluster

I also recently noticed slight warping of the decal on the speedo. I only parked the spyder in the sun one afternoon. I also have the Calsci (large). Pretty goofy that this should happen. I'll keep an eye on it, maybe pop the cluster and see if I can push it back in place. Can the clear plastic...
