• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brake pedal/Floorboard issue?

A funny side to this "issue" is that I called Pierre and asked him about this. He laughed for about 2 minutes. :) He said he has 60k miles on his w/ these boards and not 1 "issue."

I know I have asked a few questions but didn't realize this button existed. Apologies to all who have helped me out.

Yes sir. It took me some time to just get on the freeway. Now my wife and I are riding all over Arizona to see the sights.

    Big Men's Gear; Help

I'm a big dude too, wear 4x or 5x depending on fit. CycleGear has a lot of the same brands but plenty of choices at various price ranges.

    Stupid is as Stupid Does

I would be willing to bet everybody on this board has done one thing or another that would compare to that. I know I have. Get well fast and get back out there.

    Spyder riding course?

I'm a believer in "never stop learning." I plan on taking the course soon. Just curious how many of you have taken it? Did you learn anything in it?

    Brake pedal/Floorboard issue?

I am taking Fred to the shop Monday to get the brakes checked out. I want to make sure the brakes are ok before I add boards. I want to get the 18" floorboards from canamspyderaccessories.com. For those that don't know, with these boards, comes a spacer for the brake to "raise" the brake pedal...

    Spyder burns?

Humility will be gone after this post... Not sure if this is a thing. I was riding the other day. It was pretty hot, about 108 outside. After awhile, I was feeling really uncomfortable in the, ummm, upper inner crotchial region of my right leg. I couldn't get comfortable on the bike but had to...

    ATGATT on Spyder = PTGATT?

There's some really incredible heat in the Phoenix area. I cannot handle wearing a jacket when it's this hot. I wear a long sleeve tshirt instead. I usually wear jeans instead of riding pants. After the accident I had last time I was on a motorcycle, I am a very cautious rider. I give plenty...

    Phoenix area riders...

How the heck do you do it right now? 110 degrees is a bit beyond the point where it is fun and comfortable to ride. I would rather ride bundled up in 20 degree weather than what we have right now. I was watching a canamspyderaccessories video with Pierre the other day where he said, "It's...

    Wearing glasses with helmet

Ok. So Mrs. iridenow wears glasses. She has a hard time putting glasses on after putting her helmet on. She essentially destroyed 1 pair of glasses trying to put them on after putting on her helmet. Is there a trick to doing this?

USER NAMES/HANDLES - What does yours mean? Where did it come from?

You know, before I made my post, I started to break it up like that and come up with a really long explanation. Then I yawned and went to bed. :2thumbs:

    Phoenix mechanical help needed

Accidentally put this on the wrong board originally... Hey guys, I would like to add a few things to Fred, a driver's backrest and passenger armrests. I have watched the videos on how to do these. I don't feel comfortable doing them myself. Is there anybody in the Phoenix area who wouldn't mind...

Hey guys, I would like to add a few things to Fred, a driver's backrest and passenger armrests. I have watched the videos on how to do these. I don't feel comfortable doing them myself. Is there anybody in the Phoenix area who wouldn't mind make a few bucks to help me do this?

    Your First One

I honestly don't remember. I think it was a 1989 Suzuki Katana that I paid $1500 for. I remember the make and model. The year is what is giving me trouble. I got into an accident a month after I got it while sitting at a red light. This old lady in a ford mustang ran into me from behind. It...

    Removing stickers, etc from helmets

Yep. I'm in that age group. If the price tag was flapping around on a piece of plastic it wouldn't be so difficult to remove.

    Removing stickers, etc from helmets

So the Mrs. iridenow's helmet still has the price sticker on it. I've done as good as I can with my hands. Is a hair dryer a good tool to remove the sticker? Any other suggestions how to get it off without scratching up the helmet?

Of course I wouldn't be able to do this on my 2010.
